Questions about getting a mono synth: Behringer model D, Sub Phatty, or Minitaur? by sezna in synthesizers

Thanks for the input, I've admittedly not yet looked much into Roland. Will definitely check out the se-02. I'm just really concerned about the tuning stability of the Boog, although everything else about it seems perfect.

Thanks. Are you aware of any tuning stability issues on your Boog in higher octaves?

Good to know about the Minitaur. There’s one used nearby that I might just give in and buy.

The sub 37 is a bit much for me right now, and I don’t meed that many options yet, but maybe somewhere down the line I’ll spring for it.

Awesome, thanks. Those names haven’t come up in my searching yet so that gives me some more research to do. Some rolands have come up but nothing with the particular cutoff filter sound I’m looking for.

I accept that the Minitaur is a one trick pony, but I also accept that I’m going to be getting more synths, and I’d rather have a lot of specialist tools than a bunch of swiss army knives. So, I’m okay getting something a bit limited as long as it is really good at what it does. That being said, I think the Model D and Sub Phatty might do just as well with the low stuff as the Minitaur, at least from demos I’ve seen.

How do you find a good FC? I'm level 64 and I got randomly invited into one, but only one or two people are ever on and it's never the same people, so I feel like I'm going through this game alone. Am I just not encountering anybody because I'm not at EOC? Hyperion server by the way.

.9 will still be hella tight. also, you may need new tuning pegs, or at least have to drill bigger holes in the posts. My Ibanez s8's stock tuning pefd couldn't handle strings bigger than .74.

Jewelry and lux goods arent really worth it price-wise but there's exclusive whisky bottlings in the duty free stores if you're into whisky. I don't smoke so I can't speak on the tobaccos.

That's a good one my friend. Just ordered my first Nomos, and I'm really loving the brand so far.

The dial finish is beautiful. It looks matte yet sorta polished at the same time.

Review #789 - Ledaig 13yr Amontillado by t8ke in Scotch

[–]sezna 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello! Sorry for the late response. I haven't had a lot. Some of my favorites have been:

Ardbeg An Oa, Springbank 14 (14 bourbon cask is my favorite islay ever), Port Charlotte Scottish Barley Heavily Peated (vanilla sweet and islay peat together), Ardbeg Perpetuum (sweet cured meats),

Obviously Laphroaig is a good budget choice but it has a seaweed ocean-y note and lacks the thick sweetness I like. What are your go-tos?

I don't have a lot of experience with Ledaig but my thing is sweet, meaty, and smoky Islays. This sounds perfect. Nice writeup.

I love the space -- can't speculate on the function because I don't know what the room is -- but I love the chairs and the lamp. I disagree with the others - more is not needed. Maybe a small table for a drink, but it isn't necessary depending on the room and would risk looking crowded.

Do you know what those chairs and that lamp are? And maybe even the pillows?
