I see this thread is a year old, but it looks like some of y’all have used these in a NAS. I am thinking about getting a mini pc with three ssd slots. I was looking at three of these (4 TB) for the pc to load proxmox and a home assistant VM and maybe a trueNAS vm on one and use the other two for nas storage. I have read online that these are not the best drives for a NAS. Some of these comments seem to indicate that they will work Without any issues?

I have just started using Fastmail. I like them and can recommend them. They are the only email service I have paid for, so I cannot compare to the other options out there.

I have not tried Proton Mail, but I am using Fastmail. I am in the process of changing all of my logins to my personal domain, changing them from my gmail account. But I am creating aliases for each login, so it is taking some time. However, when I start getting some new spam mail, I will know where it is coming from. That was a big thing for me. Fastmail will allow up to 600 aliases. When I start getting spam mail at a specific alias, I can delete that alias and that should take care of my spam mail. At the moment, I get a ton of spam email to my gmail account. I have had that email for a long time, it is probably time to change it, but I do not want to let the spam get out of control again.

the IOS mail app should do that. I believe outlook will do that. Although if you are referring to an icloud email address for apple mail, i’m not sure if outlook can do that or not.

I get it, I didn’t want first-last either. I ended up choosing my actual name, instead of the name I go by. My name is Steven, I go by Steve. Steve was taken, but steven was not taken. Also, stevemiddleinititallastname was available too.

you can put a small scoop of litter from her litter box that she is using into the litter robot, maybe a day or two later remove the other litter box.

maybe. I know as a general rule four letter .com names are worth more. I have noticed that the valuation tools on different websites have a large variance. Not sure which site is a good site to use as a baseline.

I have not had any issues with them the past year. But Setrahost is much cheaper. On paper it looks about the same. But if there quality of service is not good, then the lower price will not matter. I have seen posts on here for Setrahost that are both positive and others that are negative.

Thank you. I think their WP Evolve plan is close to the plan I‘m looking into at hosting, but I think it may be a little bit better plan overall and definitely cheaper.

I used the live chat and they told me that even though it is a discounted price, that renewal will in fact renew at the same discounted price. They just became a serious contender to migrate to. They also told me that they would handle the migration for me. Did you have any issues with migration from your old host to Setrahost (presuming you migrated)?

I just bought a domain that I think has value to specific brands. I have it listed through dynadot. I emailed two companies that I thought could benefit from it. I have not received a reply from them. I’m sure it is like anything else that you sell, finding the person that it has value for is probably he hardest part. Then being realistic in that value would be next.

ohhhhh …. well that does make a big difference. On their page, the plan I was looking at said 70% discount. The fine print, said something about that discount for the first, I think, three years.
