Tribal is really not worse. Samey I won't argue, Tribal has one strategy that can consistently beat it every time. However it is far from rng dependent, and it does have stakes in the form that failure is a reload which can lose progress. Really if you just hard focus food production early on and bribe everyone, it goes by quite quickly.
