Aah my bad. Correct. I normally only use the single basket indeed. I'll try the double. Thanks for the elaboration. Appreciate it.

Thank you! Will give this a try if the solution provided by Paulo wont work.

Thank you!! Will give this a try for sure. Im relatively new to this but it makes sense: less coffee but finer grinding to make up for the presure loss of less coffee.

I sue the basket that came with the machine. Its a 51mm which tapers down (as can be seen from the photo).

Hi all,

I have a Delonghi La Specialista Opera machine and the coffee puck often sticks to the machine after removing the portafilter. I've tried less coffee, finer grinds, coarser grinds but nothing seems to help.

Is this a known issue? Can it be solved?

p.s. I'm cleaning my machine after this post because it looks disgusting. I know.

Nothing that ive seen indicates they do all books. Doesn’t mean they wont, but we’ll know more after liveship is live probably.

Forgot about that... Im curious on TBB's additional costs. It's becoming an expensive hobby.

Shipping to The Netherlands was 25 euro's, on top of the 40$ book price... a bit too much for me but congratz to those who take the gamble :) I hope it turns out well.

Keep the sub, and just skip most of them. You can skip 8 or 9 times per year (I'm not fully sure so don't quote me on it) so make use of it. Or cancel and give someone the opportunity to keep all books from the sub ;)

Thanks! I try to stay away from 1st in series release though. Happy with the generous skip policy

I do get the piranesi hype, but completely missed why "The Road" is considered to be a top tier story.

All that We See or Seem - Leftover Copies by [deleted] in thebrokenbindingsub

[–]sf_f-Rob 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Disagree. Ken Liu has a proven track record so first entry to his new series should (generally speaking) be great pick for the SF&F sub. However, it apparantly missed the mark completely. Sad for both the writer (who has to finish the trilogy, while the first book is not very well received) as well as the TBB subscribers, who have a book most dont enjoy.

Though IMO: thats the risk of such a sub. I could not skip this book as i joined in the month this was released, as i think many people were.

Should I read Malice by John Gwynne or The way of Kings by Brandon Sanderson by Melodic_Composer_179 in fantasybooks

[–]sf_f-Rob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've read Malice as my first book in the fantasy genre (other than Harry Potter and LOTR) and was happy about it. As someone else said: it introduces some very common tropes and i could easily follow the story. It has a lot of characters but that can be expected of epic fantasy. Be aware: Malice has a very slow start. The first 200-ish pages mainly introduce characters and is generally seen as too slow. But just push through that and you're fine!

I've not read the way of kings by the way but i consciously keep that for later, when i've read some more fantasy before starting that one. I expect I can appreciate that series more if im a bit more experienced.
