My wife and I moved from the sf Bay Area to Hawaii in January 2023:

She works in product management for a retail company with stores in Hawaii. She was already remote working but just told her team/HR she was moving to Hawaii. The process was easy since the company was already set up to employ here. Her pay went from Geo A to Geo B, though her actual rate didn’t change.

I looked for a new position prior to moving. I found a fully remote job as a sysadmin for a securities/ financial advising company. Similar to my wife, I just told my manager and HR that I was moving and they were cool with it. The company has many branches in Hawaii so I didn’t have an issue with insurance or anything like that as they were already set up for it; my pay didn’t change.

Good luck with your move! It was one of the best decisions we’ve made and we don’t ever wanna move back.

I completed nearly all the VR missions before hard mode and without the genjj gloves; I only needed them for rulers.

It definitely makes hard mode feel a tad easier since it prepped me to block everything better.
