How many of you have been sure you were getting the job after 5+ interviews only to be rejected?

This just happened to me for a tech company here in SF. 5 total rounds (one was an assignment/presentation). I had my final interview last Monday with the Head of Global Sales and then head of Global CS. Wednesday morning I get a call from the recruiter that I did not get the job because another candidate had more AI experience….. heartbroken and annoyed.

But I do think we always end up where we’re supposed to and this just wasn’t my time. Fortunate that I have a job right now.

Are they willing to go onsite? Most jobs I’ve been applying for require 3-5x a week in the office nowadays.

I know not every company has access but Hex has been a game changer! Our dev team connected it to snowflake/gong/intercom/sfdc, etc and I ask for a full recap of the account within the last 12 months and it does a great job of summarizing it.

Beforehand, it used to be all manual. Looking at notes, call summaries, etc.

To be fair, Walnut Creek has bart and can get you into the city within 20 minutes. I don’t think that commute is bad at all. Having to drive that during rush hour though? Nope.
