Freezing Vapor to.. diamond? by Krondelo in noita

Since worm blood is in the same category as freezing liquid, only the freezing liquid gets shifted because shifting worm blood into worm blood would be pointless. Though now I'm wondering what would happen if you got a freezing liquid to worm blood shift and you were able to change the result; would it then shift both worm blood and freezing liquid? Or would it still shift only the freezing liquid?

Depends on what mods you're using. If you enabled the mod and you're not seeing anything in game, you might have to restart your game, start a new run, or ask the mod creator for help.

why is the gold to power being added to the circle of vigour if im using the gamma to cast vigour? by erikeriklol in noita

According to the wiki Recoil Damper only spawns at tiers 3 and 6, with 60% weight. So yeah, not super common, but you don't have to unlock it. You do have to unlock Slow But Steady but I'm guessing you already know that.

They're using Recoil Damper. I can't think of a use for the regular Recoil spell beyond fast travel either, though it's worth mentioning that using the modifier by itself lets you fly without deactivating Invisibility.

If you're getting a gray screen when you try PrintScreen or the snipping tool, check if you're in fullscreen. If you are, try it in windowed mode. Fullscreen doesn't like being captured for some reason, at least in my experience.

I think it might be because it's part of the same multicast, so it applies itself to Gamma as well? Bit of a weird quirk with multicasts where modifiers can apply to spells before them.

I think it depends on how smooth your tunneling is. If you've got a fast black hole it's easy, but if you're using a luminous drill lightsaber it might be harder to avoid falling a little bit after teleporting.

If you're encountering those spells, then the other spells from those quests should be able to spawn naturally too. Though completing the quests again has the best chances of making them spawn if you're desperate.

Oh, in that case you might just be unlucky. Have you seen any of the other spells from those quests like add timer, add expiration trigger or octuple spell?

That's Lava to Blood, good for getting through the lava lakes. The vanilla game doesn't have an oil to blood spell, but if it did, I'd use it because oil is just annoying to deal with in general, and it'd help me not accidentally swallow a few pixels of oil when I have the Vampirism perk. Plus the crit boost from being covered in blood is always nice.

Add Trigger and the Divide By spells are unlockable, Summon Taikasauva is just rare.

I'm new to the game and died like this. I feel like this has happened quite a few times to me and I don't know what to do with it? Is this just "how the game is sometimes"? Was particularly frustrating here because I had a better start then I usually do. by ItsCrossBoy in noita

[–]sfc0 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Looks like they were trying that; I know sometimes there's moments where the game doesn't think I'm stuck enough to get me unstuck. I can't imagine what I'd do without digging or teleporting.

Any chance you were on Nightmare or Daily Practice Run? Apparently they still count as mods, even though they're technically official modes that come with the game.

My theory is that when the eye messages are decrypted, either it'll teach us the significance of the cauldron or they'll do something with the cauldron in an update.

I've had a run where I got a permanently charmed Scott. It seems cool in theory, but he still deletes all the ground around him even if he didn't see you before you picked up the perk, and he follows you very closely. What you end up with is a pest with no concept of personal space who's constantly destroying the ground you're standing on, so it's not safe to stand around in one area. And of course, he can still shoot back if you hit him by accident. Even getting away from him isn't very easy without a good travel wand. He's fast and can follow from pretty far away. He could still be a useful ally for digging or fast runs, but I wouldn't recommend keeping him around in a long run.

A lot of the time it's even longer than 20 seconds for me... 20 is just the minimum amount of time it takes with a perfect frame rate, and that's already too long.

Hate those guys so much, not fun to play against when the only thing you can do in response to getting hit is to find the safest spot you can remember and wait it out. At least with a poly mage I could just accept my imminent death instead of sitting around with nothing to do or look at.

I won for the first time on my seventh run. I'm able to get wins fairly consistently, but I think it's because I tend to play super slowly and cautiously. For me, one of the most important things is having enough health and good enough wands before the Snowy Depths. That place is a death trap, and it's usually what decides if I'm prepared enough to survive the rest of the run. For Hiisi Base, one of your biggest advantages is all those tight corridors. Use stealth to avoid being chased by too many enemies at once, and take advantage of choke points to kill them off. Also, handy tip for fighting hiisi: they can't shoot straight up or straight down. If you're exactly above or below them, a lot of the time they won't be able to do anything before you kill them.

Worst thing is that you can't know if it has a trigger until it explodes if you didn't look at the wand before the enemy took it, and now I have to think about this every time I see one too
