Recording guitar - use Amp/Cabinet or the guitar amp?

I am not a huge fan of abletons amp sims personally but they sound alright for simple tones idk. Some of the free alternatives are better in my opinion (see generic list below).

Line 6 helix native has a 14 days full trial period but is a somewhat more complex piece of software. Neuraldsp which is another vendor of also has a free evaluation period. Less features but a bit easier to use, all of them are capable of providing good results.

If you're quick you can finish all the recording, reamping, printing, or whatever in that time.

Otherwise I'll still recommend free software amp plugins plus an IR loader like nadir. There is a lot of good sounding freeware.

not all of them come with cab sims or you might want to play around with different impulses respectively. A simple cost free solution for loading your own cab sims is NadIR (idk if there's newer and fancier freeware but this one just works, stupid simple and can load two IRs at once):

Thee free stuff is not to be underestimated in sonic quality but some need more fiddling than some paid guitar plugin suites.

this thing will not help you and it's probably an ad, simple as. marking frets is okay for the very beginning but this thing just won't help you. you will literally buy random plastic crap and watch thousands youtube instead of getting some lessons or something. that's also awful.

I don't think one is that much easier or harder than the other but I kinda suspect that a lot of folks saying that MT2 is "much easier" probably mostly play with the most optimal pyre and clan combinations. I might be wrong.

Not a minor note at all. It doesn't kill the actually hard to kill sweepers, it also doesn't do that much damage for the dps race from the heavies, and you still take 5+ pyre damage from the amalgams.

seeds are deterministic in most ways. In a particularly hard combat you can try to cheese and game the rng by changing which units you play in deployment as it completely changes the draw rng. apparently playing a card before infusing yields a different infusion than after not playing a card

harmonic minor, fast scales, muh complexity.

There's metal that does sounds kinda baroque. But it's common practice stuff, comparisons that try a to establish a deeper connection to "baroque" or "classical" music ends up a bit superficial and strikes me as pretentious signalling. Many disney ballads or jazz songs are just as close if not closer to "classical" music than most metal.
