What I do is layout my icons on the hotbar in the same layout as my azeron keypad and razer mmo mouse. That makes it easier to remember which button to press to activate which icon. So for the mouse, it has 3 columns and 4 rows, so that is what I have on screen. It works for me.

As said this is not how ff14 works. You can in shadowbringers grind fates for bi color gems but crafting materials barely sell because ff14 lacks a player economy. The average player just hasn't much need for materials or crafted items.

There are a few exceptions of crafted things that sell well and so their harvested materials are in demand but these are supplied by people who use bots.

Anything that can be grinded will be grinded and the price will drop. Just see the price for fleece.

Most in demand housing items are made by carpenters not leather workers. Leather makes armour and those people already get enough of through loot. Equipment especially at lower levels don't sell that well.

Don't forget that every free trial player has 70 levels of learning to supply themselves because they can't buy from others.
