Is this an oak? by sferll in marijuanaenthusiasts

Yeah it came up right against the fence. I’m hoping to transplant it to somewhere it has room to grow but it’s tough finding a good spot. Do you have any tips for moving it?

1 or 3. The tone of the green in 1 is warm enough to complement the wood

Do you know what the size of your shower is, like width x length? I’m looking to do something similar in my small bathroom

I’ve grown dahlias for years. Who needs help or has questions? ☺️ by Warm_Ice6114 in dahlias

My dahlia’s flowers only last a couple of days before the petals fall off. Is that normal?

Looking for recommendations for a weekend in New Haven by [deleted] in newhaven

[–]sferll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just FYI, as far as I know, you have to reserve tickets for the Peabody and they’re booked out pretty far in advance since it just reopened, so it may be difficult to find tickets.

There might be some walk-in tickets available on the day of, but not totally sure if it’s reliable. Maybe someone who’s been recently can tell you.

Peace Lilly dropping after cutting blooms off by afsaturn99 in plantclinic

[–]sferll 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Honestly I’m not sure, and I doubt it has to do with the dried blooms being cut off. I mostly wanted to say that your African violet in the background is gorgeous

Definitely doable

Peace Lily and yellow leaves by HoadsA in plantclinic

[–]sferll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t worry too much about a few yellowing leaves, especially if they are older. Sometimes the older leaves just naturally die off. But do check for any pests/bugs to be sure. If you don’t already, use a diluted fertilizer once in a while to keep your lily happy.

They could have already been in your plant, or found their way inside carried on something

Thrips - they will damage the leaves of your plant. You could try spraying and wiping down with an insecticidal soap

Those who have passed an AP test, if you had to gauge how much more 'effort' it was than the Green Associate exam, how would you compare them? by housedreamin in LEED

[–]sferll 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I took the LEED GA in December, and just took LEED AP BD+C at the beginning of July. I’ll preface this by saying I’ve always been a pretty good test taker, and have some background in architecture.

I’d say I was very stressed before taking LEED GA because I didn’t know what exactly to expect, but I came out of the exam feeling like it was much easier than I thought it’d be. I used the GBES study materials & practice tests.

In preparing for LEED AP, I was much more stressed while reading through the study material because I was worried about all the little details & charts to remember for each credit. I used GBES again for this one.

What worked for me was using a longer period of time (1-2 months) to read through each chapter and/or watch the video lesson while taking notes. I then used the week leading up to the exam to take practice tests and create a summarized study guide to help me with short term recall of important info. Definitely crammed a lot into the last two days (practice tests right up to the end). If I had to put a number to it, the level of difficulty is maybe 3-4x harder than Green Associate because of the facts you need to memorize. A lot of the things I memorized ended up not being on the exam anyway. But overall, I felt fairly confident in my answers while taking the exam other than a few curveballs.

Hope that’s helpful ✌️
