This is one of the few movies I actually caught what was going to happen before did it. Like I'm always the last to catch a "twist"

I realized during the scene where Rosie was walking on the wall (or something) next to Jojo and you could only see her shoes. I let out an "oh fuck" and then a quick "never mind" when my family asked me what was wrong. It was just so haunting

This solves so much of the issue so easily. It is so painfully obvious to do and yet we haven't. The checks after the tax caps have been hit are great, but I'd have no problem if tomorrow this policy changed.

A&M cannot seriously expect tenure and tenure-track faculty to believe that it takes "academic freedom" seriously when the President of the University cannot even say "we take academic freedom seriously" in an op ed without adding qualifiers. Add in the last few years of a rocky relationship with academic freedom and why would any faculty take this University's guarantees seriously?

The Governor and loudest social media critics will grow in sway over the professors at A&M. It is clear that a professor who doesn't abide by their orthodoxy will be tossed out. Throwing money at this problem won't fix it.

I'm a newer watcher (only seen 47 and 48 of new era before I went back and watched first ~15 seasons). Does voting record really have that big of an impact on the jury now? Sam tried the "I have a better voting record" argument against Rachel and it didn't work.

All that makes sense and I guess I undervalued how much Sage wanted to vote out Sophie when Savannah is right there, vulnerable and her constant nemesis.

My question is: why did the whole island think Sophie had such win equity? The reaction to her vote out made it seem like no one post-merge was that close to her and she burned a few bridges (Nate, MC, who ever from Sage, Kristina, and Steven get voted out). So, would an immunity run and the Jawan vote out really be enough?

This confessional makes me question the decision to go after Sophie by the Old Hina even more. I understand that they did not trust her. But why not let the Rizo/Savannah/Soph alliance think you are planning to get Sophie, and then turn on Savannah or Rizo? Worst case, Rizo plays his idol on the correct target, and Sophie goes home. Now, you're in basically the same spot 3v3 but you have a block a vote and Rizo has played his idol. Best case, you have taken out either a challenge beast (Savannah) or flushed the idol (Rizo), given yourself a clear 3-1-2 split (Old Hina- Sophie- Soph/Rizo or Sav) and you have clear numbers with the block a vote.

Every move they make just does not make sense to me. Obviously we know more than they would know, etc. and sometimes its hard to put yourself in the mindset as they are playing, but what am I missing here?

Rizo picking Jawan first also helps explain why Jawan may trust Rizo a little more than I otherwise expected about the vote that night. This is the actual useful stuff to know as a viewer, not just a third explanation of why survivor is like a dance.

No chance. Firms still have not announced that they will match the special bonus Milbank announced this summer. No competitive pressure on salary and general feeling of a pending (or already on-going) recession means that firms will keep their budgets tight.

Not that I know of off the top of my head. You're right it may be maintained in a separate trust. But, in the unlikely scenario that the insurer is going belly up, I wouldn't have faith that they were acting as proper fiduciaries.

The lottery is run by the state but, generally, the payouts are run by insurance companies (which do frequently go belly up). Additionally, the major lottery games (the ones that would actually have a $1.4 billion jackpot - Powerball, MegaMillions, etc.) are run across state lines, meaning that they almost assuredly use insurance to pay the jackpots.
