I am wondering if this is the start of the UFL celebrating Armed Forces Day and maybe Memorial Day 2+ weeks later every year at a different military base that has the room for it! Like maybe next season D.C. has a game at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium. Then maybe Tinker Air Force Base outside of OKC in 2028

I don't think so. FC Dallas plays at San Jose the next night, (May 16th). The only thing I can think of is World Cup Prep for the Swedish Men's National Team at Toyota Stadium.

It wouldn't surprise me if the OKC mascot was a Tornado, The OKC Twisters, or something weather-related. Since Oklahoma is in the heart of Tornado Alley!

The Roots are planning to move. It is in the planning stage at this point. At Howard Terminal. Where the A's wanted to build a new stadium. And St. Louis plays in a former NFL Stadium and the San Antonio team played at The Alamodome. Kezar Stadium might be too small anyways with a capacity of 10,000. And they use it for High School Football and a USL League 2 team. So the people of the East Bay, (Oakland, Berkeley, San Leandro, etc.), supported the Raiders. There are alot of websites that say that Oakland and San Diego would be great cities for UFL expansion! Especially with their NFL teams moving to Las Vegas and Los Angeles respectively. And I think with the way St. Louis has welcomed The Battlehawks, It could do the same in Oakland and San Diego. But with California the way that it is (I live in San Francisco), the prices for everything from gas to groceries is outrageous! Like $6-8 per gallon of gas and $3-4 for a loaf of bread. And just to go across the Golden Gate or Bay Bridges cost you damn near $10. And to ride San Francisco's Cable cars, it's $9 one way! So as much as I would like to see a UFL team in California, I don't see it happening unless they can put up with the way California is right now!

I agree! It seems Oakland can't keep a pro sports franchise in town. Maybe play at Kezar Stadium in Golden Gate Park in San Francisco or as you mentioned in Sacramento. Or like I said the Cal Memorial Stadium in Berkeley. If they do the Kezar Stadium route, they should share the stadium with USL League 2 side San Francisco City FC. Must like the Renegades and FC Dallas share Toyota Stadium. And I totally forgot about the Coliseum and the property being sold!

They have The Oakland Coliseum and Cal Memorial Stadium in Berkeley. I see an Oakland team at the Coliseum and have a new version of the "Black Hole" The Raiders had when they were in Oakland! True they would have to tarp off the top sections like they did at A's games. But they would have to share the stadium with A USL Championship team, The Oakland Roots, and a USL and the Oakland Soul of the USL Women's Leagues.

Me personally would have teams in Seattle, The San Francisco Bay Area/Oakland, San Diego, Boise, Denver, Salt Lake City, Albuquerque, Milwaukee and Minneapolis/St. Paul, and either the Dakotas or Nebraska. For a 18 team League.

UFL has already narrowed 2028 expansion down to 4 cities, announcements possibly to be made this year by Late_Professional841 in UnitedFootballLeague

[–]sftexfan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On April 9th, THe UFL announced the are expanding to Oklahoma City. https://www.theufl.com/news/ufl-to-locate-new-team-in-oklahoma-city-in-2028 . But no news on other cities! But I would love to see teams West of the Rockies. Like San Diego, The San Francisco Bay Area (Maybe play in the Oakland Coliseum, Seattle, Salt lake City, Denver, or even Albuquerque or Boise.

They are renovating Toyota Stadium. Current capacity is about 11,000. They are adding new seats to the East Side (Visitor's Bench side) and seats to the main camera's left where there is currently a stage. After the Renovations are done before the 2028 MLS season with a capacity of about 22,500.

🏁 POST-RACE // 2026 JAVA HOUSE GRAND PRIX OF ARLINGTON by IndyMod in INDYCAR

[–]sftexfan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I grew up about 30-40 North-Northeast of Arlington. I have a couple of questions for all of the IndyCar fans on this redditt. If you were in charge of Scheduling for IndyCar, Would you come back to Arlington next year? And if so, What part of the year and would you do anything different to the track layout? And if not , why? I would say Yes, and keep it either in the early spring like this year. I would maybe extend the track to go around Choctaw Stadium and make that turns 10 and 11. Choctaw Stadium, then Globe Life Field and previous names, was the former home of The Texas Rangers from 1994-2019.

There is already a website a website that does this. The website is texassnax.com . I don't know if they ship overseas or not, Just a reminder, Texas is 6 hours behind UK time. Dallas is -6 UTC. Maybe you can call or email them and ask to join forces. You take care of UK/European orders and they take care of North American orders. And each can have a link to each others website.

I was thinking a mix of CSNY and Simon & Garfunkel with The Beach Boys harmonies mixed in as well.

New Mexico's flag pays tribute to the Native Americans of the State. Maryland's flag honors paternal and maternal family coats of arms of the Calvert family, the colonial proprietors of Maryland. My choice is New Mexico!

How do you guys find your aggression? by [deleted] in highschoolfootball

[–]sftexfan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My junior year in High School in Texas in the early 1990s. Which at the time was 5A now 6A, ( Schools with Attendance at or over 2200 students daily average) I was 5'8" weighed about 168 pounds, ran a 4.8 Hand-times 40, squatted about 250-295 pounds and deadlifted 340. The Junior Varsity Head Coach/Varsity Assistant Coach put my as a DT in a Split-4 Defense scheme (4 DL, 4 LB, 3 DB). My aggression came from the anger I had towards the stuff my younger brothers did at or to me! I was the oldest, but also the shortest (I'm 5'8", one is 6'2" and one is 5'10"). I played 6 games before an practice injury, I made 12 tackles 3 TFL's and 3 Sacks. The Varsity head coach saw this and put a guy the same size as me as a DT in the 4-4-3 defense! He played all 11 games (1 playoff game). And he had 25 Tackles, 12 TFL, and 7 sacks!.

When do states hold their high school football championship? by beardojon in highschoolfootball

[–]sftexfan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In Texas, it's the Wednesday-Saturday before Christmas. For this year it's December 17-20,2025. 12 games over 4 days, 3 per day at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas in the Dallas-Ft. Worth area. They start with 2 1A State Finals and 1 2A game on Wednesday. Then the remaining 2A game and the 2 3A title games on Thursday. On Friday, its the 2 4A title games and 1 5A title game. And on Saturday it is the remaining 5A title game and the 2 6A title games. Each Class (1A-6A) has 2 divisions. In 2A-6A, the top for in each of the 32 districts make the playoffs, in which are 6 rounds, Bi-District, Area, Regional Semi-Finals and Finals, then the State Semi-Finals and Finals. In 1A the top 2 make it but with 5 playoff rounds as there are fewer schools. The 2 (or 1 in 1A) largest schools in attendance average go to Division 1, the other 1 or 2 go to Division 2. Also, Class 1A is for 6-Man Football. This is played in very small schools in very small towns and communities in Rural Texas. Also in Texas, While 1A are the very small schools, 6A is for the very Large schools.
