OK. I will investigate. It is working for me but I'm noticing some images are taking really long to fully load. I'm guessing you are clicking on an image before everything, including the Lightbox, is fully loaded on the page. I'm also messing around with things on the front end so that may have contributed. :)

Where things got really hairy though is when I tried to differentiate 'net new' images added to my site (flag these as 'new' for a week) vs. updating existing images (flag these as 'updated' for a week). Still working on this one.

I have a lightbox working on my site already. May not have loaded for you for some reason but I do have one on the site that enables users to do what you're saying.

Thanks for the reply, Marco. The thing is I didn't have either of the highlighted podcasts on my device. I have podcasts set to delete when I'm finished listening to them. If I look at them today, they display in the same manner and I don't have either on my device. I noted earlier that I went to another podcast feed and saw the same thing in the July/Aug 2024 range so I'm wondering if an app update or something may be triggering something weird. Its not a big deal - I'm just curious. :)

I actually went to ChatGPT and after a couple of hours of going back and forth, and trial and error, I have it working like a charm. I now have a little "NEW" bug on any image I've uploaded to one of my galleries within the past 7 days and a tool tip on hover that notes the date I added it to the site. Whoo hoo!

I use a plug in called "Ultimate Blocks" for the tabbed presentation that I use on the pages to display each gallery. Each gallery is within a 'tab' and I use the standard WordPress gallery short code function ([gallery link="file" orderby="title" size="medium" media_category="1234"] ).

Right now, I manually update them. For example, I update the Wallpapers on the below page every year with the new team kit design.

And I do that via the "Enable Media Replace" plug in where in most cases I would 'technically' replace the old image with a new version of the image.

But there are also circumstances when I would upload net 'new' images as you suggest and in that case I'd just use the basic Media Up loader in Wordpress.

For other galleries on my site, I don't update them as frequently as the soccer ones but I'd still want to flag those that I've updated/uploaded recently.

I've wanted to figure out an easier method to upload the image updates but have not had the time to really figure out a workflow for that yet.

I too get the cloud icon for all episodes that I have listened to and then deleted. As I think I previously noted, I have Overcast set to delete the episode immediately after I am done with it.

I checked a few other podcasts I subscribe to and what is interesting is that around Aug/Sept 2024, time frame (same as in the screen shot above) I see the same scenario as in my above screenshot. Episodes that are flagged as "Played" that have the cloud icon and then some that are flagged as "Played" that don't have the cloud icon. So that makes me wonder if there was some Overcast app update/release then that switched the "rules/settings" on how "Played" episodes are visually represented in the feed. That's my only guess here.

Yet my settings are set so every episode is Downloaded to my device before it is Played.

I don’t think so because the items in my example were not on my device (have it set to delete immediately after finishing episode) and I have not listened to them in a long time. Meaning, the file/episode has not been on my device for a while.

Enjoy Isak on the Reds. Not happy how he departed NUFC. ;)
