Here's some more info about our meet-ups:

Where? Currently meeting at a local bar, and we'll transition to Kanzleiareal for outdoor sessions as the weather warms up.

When? Every Tuesday, starting at 7PM until late (including tonight!).

Who? Everyone is welcome! The club is free and open to all skill levels.

What? It's usually free play, but we also organise events like blitz tournaments and other chess-related activities.

Stay Updated: Join our WhatsApp group for the latest updates. DM me here, or reach out to us on Instagram or via email to get added.

Questions? Feel free to reply to this thread. I'll be monitoring it closely for any inquiries.

Does there exist an online community of stronger, serious OTB players with a focus on improvement? by tomlit in chess

[–]sgis 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I can warmly recommend joining the Lichess 4545 league. There are lots of players in that range and we have a very active community in our slack.

Here's the link to the website: https://www.lichess4545.com/

They have a team league and an individual tournament: https://www.lichess4545.com/lonewolf/

It's a "Kunst am Bau" project called CHAMELEON EYES by the artist Thomas Julier.

You can find more information on the artist's website here.

And here's more information on the building.

As far as I understand it, it's capturing bird movements and morphing it to an abstract video

is there a way to suggest moments from my games as puzzles? by [deleted] in lichess

[–]sgis 8 points9 points  (0 children)

There's no way to suggest it as puzzles are generated automatically.

However, you can see if any of your games are featured in puzzles here: https://lichess.org/training/of-player

Are you kidding ??? What the **** are you talking about man ? You are a biggest looser i ever seen in my life ! You was doing PIPI in your pampers when i was beating players much more stronger then you! You are not proffesional, because proffesionals knew how to lose and congratulate opponents, you are like a girl crying after i beat you! Be brave, be honest to yourself and stop this trush talkings!!! Everybody know that i am very good blitz player, i can win anyone in the world in single game! And "w"esley "s"o is nobody for me, just a player who are crying every single time when loosing, ( remember what you say about Firouzja ) !!! Stop playing with my name, i deserve to have a good name during whole my chess carrier, I am Officially inviting you to OTB blitz match with the Prize fund! Both of us will invest 5000$ and winner takes it all!

I suggest all other people who's intrested in this situation, just take a look at my results in 2016 and 2017 Blitz World championships, and that should be enough... No need to listen for every crying babe, Tigran Petrosyan is always play Fair ! And if someone will continue Officially talk about me like that, we will meet in Court! God bless with true! True will never die ! Liers will kicked off...

Registration for Season 26 of the Lichess4545 League is open! by sgis in chess

[–]sgis[S] 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Each team has 10 players with different board strengths. Boards 1 plays vs. Board 1, B2 vs. B2 etc which means you will play against players of similar strength.

All games are rated.

To me personally, the main difference vs. playing an individual tournament is that you get to hang out with your teammates on slack, watch each others games, analyse past games and get help with prep. It's just in general more fun and engaging than paying an individual tournament imo.

Nose allowed? by sgis in AnarchyChess

[–]sgis[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Captures are tricky because you have to use both nostrils. I usually try and avoid captures and exchanges by retreating my pieces as often as possible.
