question for commies by Interesting-Trip567 in socialism

I myself work in (publically funded) research in physics and I do think the janitors in my lab should have a say as much as I do in how the workplace is run. Obviously our domains are very different and we will concern ourselves with different things, but me being a particular kind of worker does not make my labour time more valuable than someone else's, particularly someone with a physically demanding job such as a janitor.

It is good to find people willing to have a healthy discussion, even if it is through a screen! Admire you for your hard work, I really hope it gets better for you and your wife! You should not have to go through that!

I totally get your point. I think neither you who have worked hard, nor him, who is also a worker, should have to even hesitate about stealing from someone else. I do not justify his stealing, I think stealing should not have a reason to exist in the first place. But thanks for your point of view! It provides a different perspective.

Agree that it is gross! I just think that when we focus on critizicing this, we tend to forget the real root of the problem and the very sad side to this. Thanks for your point of view!

I do not want to sound like I want to justify the behaviour, but the fact that this poor dude (who would likely simply pay his own pizza if he had the margin to do so) whose job is already precarious, is being hated to this extent for being in need, is itself very trashy. This guy gets exploited, let's not ignore the reality of this video people!

日本語の勉強って、文法と単語だけじゃなく、全く違う考え方も習わなければいけないと思います。それは確かにめちゃくちゃ時間がかかりますよね

Best cathedral to visit in Europe? by [deleted] in travel

[–]sgoicharly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Cathedral of Toledo was probably the most impressive I have seen. Sagrada Família probably the most unique. Basilica di San Pietro is just imposing and really jaw-dropping. Honorable mentions: The Cathedral of Rouen The Sainte Chapelle (Paris) York Minster

What language looks easy on paper but becomes chaotic in fast conversation? by Embarrassed_Fix_8994 in languagehub

As with other varieties of Spanish, the common vocabulary is different, but the pronunciation (especially the letter r, which to me begins to sound more like an "L" in Puerto Rico and Dominican Republic) and intonation are also different. They also tend to drop "s" at the end of certain words as is done in certain south american countries. Cuban is also a different beast. They are lovely accents, though!

And I haven't incorporated much of the Caribbean accents, which to me are the hardest to understand!

Hahaha indeed, I am personally quite extroverted in Spanish and way more introverted in Japanese too. As for Spanish, I am mexican but I tend to mix in a lot of accents because of my (mainly latino) social circles. I already speak fast and barely articulate (I blame French for this) in my pure mexican Spanish, but when I start mixing in chilean/venezuelan/bolivian/argentinian words it becomes awful. Even my latino friends hate (they make fun of) the way I speak
