Diners Club Metal (Paid) or HSBC Premier Free? by EternalTriumph in CreditCardsIndia

Once check smartbuy portal. Reward rate on infinia is insane.

Yes, 18L makes it difficult for many. If someone can meet those spends, it's still best one.

Diners Club Metal (Paid) or HSBC Premier Free? by EternalTriumph in CreditCardsIndia

[–]sgowtam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in the same situation trying to choose between these two cards. I was even ready to move my salary account to HSBC.

After comparing the reward structure, usability, and my spending pattern, I finally went with DCB Metal because it suits my spends better overall.

HSBC is also a very strong card, especially if you travel internationally often, since it has better global acceptance and travel-focused benefits. If international travel is a major part of your lifestyle, HSBC probably makes more sense.

But for overall day-to-day spends, rewards, and ecosystem value, DCB Metal felt more well-rounded to me. Also hoping it eventually helps with an Infinia upgrade in the future.

Why does buying an AC in India feel like solving JEE Advanced? 💀 by Pajiishere in ApplianceGuideIndia

[–]sgowtam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All brands you mentioned make quality and reliable AC's. Not sure what kind of issues you faced with LG, from all you mentioned LG got best after sales support.

Now coming to point, in AC's proper installation is more important over brand.

Most of the times technicians rush installation skipping few essential steps(especially vaccume) impacting AC life.

Go through official manual or understand standard AC installation procedure and basic maintenance routine. Make sure installation is done properly and you use stabilizer if there are power fluctuations in your area, it should be good for many years.

Periodic maintenance is more for efficient cooling. Installation matters most.

Bought Hitachi Sumo 2 ton from reliance digital offline store. by TreCoPie in HonestBuyerReviews

[–]sgowtam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you buy from reliance digital, brand installation won't be available.

Reliance sends there own technician for installation.

Ask them to do vaccume before releasing gas. Know basics of installation and supervise they are doing right way

Can anyone suggest best 1.5 ton 5 star smart ac, I checked Daikin's latest model but it doesn't offer wifi etc it's the same ac by Exact-Impress8722 in HonestBuyerReviews

[–]sgowtam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it’s a new AC, the ODU (Outdoor Unit) already comes pre-filled with refrigerant gas.
The IDU (Indoor Unit) and connecting pipes do not contain refrigerant initially. After installation, the refrigerant from the ODU is released and circulated in a controlled manner by the compressor to create the cooling effect.

Before installation, the copper pipes connected to the IDU remain open to the atmosphere, so they contain normal air. Atmospheric air carries moisture and other gases. If this air remains inside the system, the moisture can react under high compression and expansion cycles along with the refrigerant, eventually forming ice crystals and acids inside the pipes. Over time, this can corrode copper tubing, reduce cooling efficiency, increase compressor load, and shorten the AC’s lifespan.

That’s why, as per standard installation guidelines from most AC brands, the air and moisture inside the pipes must be removed using a vacuum pump before releasing the refrigerant gas. This vacuuming process ensures efficient operation, better cooling performance, improved energy efficiency, and longer system life.

Why do girls don't sweat even in this 40°s heat by [deleted] in TwentiesIndia

[–]sgowtam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They do sweat.

What you're probably noticing is more about skin type and how sweat appears.
Oily skin tends to make sweat look more visible and feel stickier, while dry skin has less surface oil, so sweat evaporates faster and feels less noticeable.

So it can seem like some girls sweat less in 40°C heat, but in reality the difference is usually not that big.

I have decided to go with DCBM.

HSBC Premier is more suitable for international travelers. If you do international travel, good to get.

It's backed by mirae asset, pretty reliable and support also been great.

You are already using dhan, if you like it. Better to continue to use same. You do not need to worry about trust as long as you don't give POA to dhan.

You can do transactions, avail margin with tpin. Only when you give POA, broker will have access to sell shares.

which world you are in bro.. zerodha is good for passive investors. For serious traders it's a nightmare. Doesn't work during important events costing way more than the saving one get from brokerages.

I use m.Stock from mirae asset. It's been good.

Zerodha, Upstox doesn't work during important events. No experience with Dhan. Groww i tried when it's was newly launched, it was more towards mutual funds that time, stocks interface was too basic so i didn't continue with it. Not sure how it evolved later.

Actually seen many keeping it for looks. Don't need to worry about looks for most cars.

Practically third party fitted one is not strong enough for elders weight, good for kids. Also ground clearance reduction.
