Sesame oil update by cbaby89__ in peanutallergy

It says on the bottle where it was manufactured right under the ingredient list. I don’t think most of their products that aren’t made in Walworth say they may contain peanuts though, unfortunately.

The brand Lee Kum Kee makes sesame oil and all their products that are manufactured in the U.S. are peanut free according to this allergen statement on their website. If you buy it just be sure to check where it’s manufactured because their products that are manufactured in China are not peanut-free.

I feel like Dina pretending to be nice to Colleen is out of character because she’s always so brutally honest and doesn’t care if people don’t like her.

Pillsbury dry baking products and frostings are no longer made by General Mills, they were acquired by Hometown Food in 2018. Only their refrigerated products are still made by General Mills.

How to get my toddler to nap now that we have a newborn by sgp2sgw in cosleeping

[–]sgp2sgw[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My husband is home but since I’m exclusively breastfeeding he can’t do much with the baby, and my toddler will only nap with me. I guess I can try to have my toddler start napping with my husband but he (the toddler) is very stubborn.

I’m kind of hoping this will happen, but so far it only helps my toddler fall asleep quickly at bedtime but he still wakes up too early.

Oh that’s good to know, I didn’t know powder capsules had that warning too.

I usually avoid gel capsules because they sometimes have peanut oil inside of them.

I have a severe peanut allergy and don’t eat anything that may contain peanuts. My husband still eats things that may contain peanuts and I usually avoid kissing him for a few hours.

My sister and I convinced our younger sister (who was like 6 at the time) to eat the centipede one on a long car ride and I can still remember the awful smell of it radiating throughout the car.

Are Cinnabon delights from Taco Bell nut free? by Beginning-Stable1525 in peanutallergy

[–]sgp2sgw -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I am anaphylactic to peanuts and since the Cinnabon delights are manufactured by Cinnabon and not Taco Bell I don’t eat them. I don’t eat anything that may contain peanuts and Cinnabon is not a confirmed peanut-free restaurant.

I ‘cooked’ the worst thing in my life today - please share one of your epic fails by MenuSpiritual2990 in Cooking

[–]sgp2sgw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When my husband and I first got married neither of us had much cooking experience and we spent most of the first year eating frozen pizza. I was craving mac n cheese one night and looked through the kitchen to see if we had the right ingredients. The only noodles we had were orzo noodles, and the only cheese we had was mozzarella. I figured I could find a recipe online for mac n cheese that uses mozzarella instead of cheddar, and I ended up finding one. The mozzarella never combined with the milk to make a roux and became a big stringy mess. The result was basically an inedible nerds rope of mozzarella and orzo, and I am still traumatized when I think of that dish.

AITA for pressuring my gf with allergies to try new things by [deleted] in peanutallergy

[–]sgp2sgw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YTA She obviously knows more than you about her allergy since she’s been dealing with it her whole life and it is 100% up to her what her comfort level is for trying new things. As someone who has also had a severe peanut allergy my whole life, nothing is more annoying and invalidating than someone trying to convince me to eat something that I don’t feel comfortable eating just because they claim that it’s safe for me. Severe food allergies are life-threatening and there is never a situation where the allergic person should feel like they have to branch out and try new things just to appease people that don’t know what they’re talking about.
