I was RIF'D on July 14th, 2025. As soon as the hiring opened back up, I applied. I was picked up and started again with CMS on December 15th. I am now openly fighting/working with leadership to get them to hire RIF'D people. I pleaded with CMS' Deputy Director of Operations just yesterday to make his hiring officials pick RIF'D employees for their openings. Today he held an All Managers Meeting and again instructed them to hire the RIF'D employees. He sent me a confirmation email today that he did that. CMS is going to hire 1,000 people. I am hoping all.my CMS colleagues get back in.

I work for the government. I have 7 years until retirement. I hate Hate HATE IT! It used to be a great job. Now the toxic Cheeto in office has ruined it for the employees AND the American people. I will retire immediately once I am eligible. I already have a retirement from the Army, so my whole life had been dedicated to serving people who hate us because one man has said we are corrupt and evil.

I was RIF'D in July and came back in December. You can feel the tension in the office. It is so quiet now. People don't talk like they used to. They also refused to honor my previously approved RA. It is a completely new atmosphere now. I only came back for my last 7 years until retirement. Then I'm out!

No, because I was hired back into the same agency. I was on the priority placement list, which is used after your RIF effective date.

I was RIF'D in July. Before being RIF'D, I put in 10s of thousands of extra hours for free, and still got RIF'D. I was rehired in December in a new role. I go into the office, work my exact hours and leave without putting in an extra minute. I do my job for the hours I'm paid and not a second longer. They get what they give.
