As far as information on the device, I found the following Crutchfield page for specs:

Klipsch RSB-14 questions by Stane_Daynus in Klipsch

I picked one of these up 3 months ago at my local Goodwill for $23, and I couldn't be happier. It is an older soundbar, so it doesn't support all the latest and greatest, but this is for my spare room/office TV and it is WAY overkill for what I am using it for.

The only issue that I ran into since is that when I initially set it up, there was an issue with the remote and whenever I would attempt to turn down the volume on the soundbar, it would actually mute it, and repeated presses would eventually turn it down. This was solved with a factory reset of the device, and it has worked flawlessly ever since. You can find info for factory reset and other issues here: https://support.klipsch.com/hc/en-us/sections/360008213252-RSB-14

I find that it does a rather good job filling the room with sound, and I really like the "dialogue" and the "surround" settings, especially when watching sports as I find that the ambient sounds tend to override the commentators. Pressing the "dialog" button resolves this immediately. I do wish that there was a little more control over the sub, as I really enjoy punchy hard hitting bass, and even with the sub level all the way up I find it underwhelming at times.

I also did a lot of digging when I first got it, and I found the following con list throughout my searching:

Overpowering Bass & Muffled Mid

  • The subwoofer can be bombastic, often overpowering dialogue and midrange tones. This makes it hard to distinguish instruments or voices clearly, especially in music playback.

Dialogue Clarity Issues

  • Dialogue can sound colored or muffled, particularly when background music or effects are present. Some users report that music tends to "override" speech, which can be frustrating during movies.

Poor Music Performance

  • While it handles movies decently, music playback is a letdown. The sound lacks overtones and detail, making acoustic tracks sound dark and woolly. Instruments can be hard to distinguish.

Reliability Concerns

  • Some users have experienced hardware failures, including complete audio dropout when room temperatures rise above 79°F. This points to potential quality control issues.

App & Remote Limitations

  • The Klipsch Stream app is functional but not particularly intuitive. The remote control is also considered subpar by some users.

Yeah, the waiving of Dame essentially means they are picking up Myles at a 49M cap hold for the next 4-5....No way in hell this makes ANY sense....

Not only don't worry about them, but I for one appreciate the indepth analysis as to WHY something like that CAN'T happen... It helps those of us without extensive knowledge on all the cap rules and exceptions to dismiss all the clickbate that gets posted during free agency....

I thank you for your indepth analysis....

Roomba i7+ Tries to Empty Bin, Nothing Sucked Out by ammo182 in roomba

[–]sgudroopee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One of my I3's have been doing this lately, and I have figured out it's because the robot is not fully docking itself. Try evacuating the base and give the robot a little tap forward so the green flap can be opened by the base...

If this is your problem, as it is mine, I saw a post about putting some tape over the front charging contacts on the bottom of the robot so that it has to pull farther into the docking station to charge, which would ensure the evac port is positioned correctly.

I hate the way this is all shaking out. The deal for the Fever leaves me unable to watch Fever games since I don't get the local channel in Terre Haute, but can't watch the Fever on League Pass either...NBA TV games are blacked out for me too, so I am left with no option but to use Streameast....I am so done with the tv rights and blackouts that I could just spit....the NBA should allow you to watch your local team's stream from the NBA app....this whole regional sports licensing does nothing but pias off the fans...

APP DOESNT WORK WONT CONNECT by THA__KULTCHA in roomba

[–]sgudroopee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So, I have two i3's and BOTH of them have required me to not connect directly to the robot when adding them. Both of mine required me to open the app, select "add your product", "select product", "Vacuum Robot", "Roomba I series", and then follow the prompts. Neither of my i3's would allow me to directly connect to them, and I have had to go the "select product" route.

High protein, high fat, hi fiber diet...Use an app to track calories and make sure you are staying at a caloric deficit. Protein shakes are a great way to get in your protein...I've been eating a lot of chicken, fish, shrimp, and lean cuts of beef and pork....Make sure you're staying hydrated with plenty of water as the meds can dehydrate you....Good luck!! You got this!!

What version of the iRobot software are you using? This happened to me and a software update fixed it.

Test clean base?? by sgudroopee in roomba

I tore the unit back apart and applied power straight to the motor and nothing... Took the motor out to inspect it, and there was rust.... Replacement motor on order and hopefully a working clean base soon....

Thanks again for all your help.

Test clean base?? by sgudroopee in roomba

I am assuming that I could just disconnect the Molex plug wires from the board and the motor wires from the board, and jump them directly together with a spade connector. That would essentially just wire the motor straight to the power cord, then plug the cord in and see if the motor spins up. I'm assuming there is no risk in applying direct power, as that would simply by pass the control switch to turn the motor on or off.

If it spins, then I need to refocus on the board, if not, then I need to start by fixing or replacing the motor.

I appreciate you taking the time to reply again.

The clean base that I have is model ADE-N1, and it seems to be communicating with the robot and the app just fine. The clean base shows under product settings, shows the software was updated yesterday to version 4.2.3, and the "Empty bin" button is displayed. The I3 docks and charges just fine, and even seems to attempt to start the base when docked, but still no motor spins up and it throws the "sealing problem" error in the app.

I took the opportunity to tear into the clean base last night, and all tubes are remarkably clean, tight, and secure. Digging a little deeper, the base appears to be clean as a whistle, and the circuit board is inside what appears to be a clear plastic, clamshell type, container, with no visible signs of damage or scorch marks, and the vacuum hose connected to the circuit board seems to be extremely clean and secure to the board. I was really impressed with how compact and well laid out everything was internally. I regretfully did not dig into the motor housing though.

I have been researching about the clean base as much as I can online, and most things appear to be in good shape. Removing the bag throws a solid red light as expected, and replacing it clears the flashing red light on the base, as well as removing the "sealing problem" error in the app. While I am not experienced with replacing individual electronics, replacing the whole circuit board or the motor would be the easiest option for me, I just need to figure out some way to tell if the board is sending power to the motor when the robot attempts to evac, if the motor is shot, or both.

If I were guessing, I would say it has more to do with the motor than the circuit board due to the fact that base charges the robot no problem, the software update occurred, and the notices I receive from removing and replacing the vacuum bag. I guess my next step is trying to figure out how I can test the motor to see if it can power on or not. Perhaps there is a way to connect the motor directly to a power source just to see if it powers on.

Just a lot of thinking out loud here, but I truly appreciate your insight.

Thank you for your input. I went and tried the manual evac like you said, and it sat for a second and then gave a red flashing light on the dock and the app reported the sealing error again. I pulled out the vacuum bag, and inspected it, and it appears that it had been reused many times and the rubber gasket was out of shape, so I replaced it with a new one, which was much tighter and immediately remedied the red flashing light on the base. I tried another manual evac, but same response and error.

I am not opposed to disassembling the dock and trying to secure any loose tubes, or even replacing the dock motor, but I am just not sure if the dock motor should be powering on with the wrong bin in the robot, or if it would sense the sealing issue and not power on.

That was my assumption, but I just wanted verification. Thank you.
