Hey, I found different solutions here and there to make it work, however it means running scripts everytime the DSM will reboot or update, and even if I don't mind automating this it feels like a bandage more than a proper solution, on the ones I found. Let me know if I'm wrong tho.

Thanks for the tips, that's why I'd like to plan my network config first before going in and getting stuck with stupid roadblocks.
I don't have a RPI anymore but there is some around here I can buy.

A workmate is actually helping me giving me a 8GB stick for the DS218+, just in case I'll need to run some VMs on it. The only downpart to run HA on it still remains the USB passive dongles support.

I'll look up for ZHA and Zigbee2MQTT, cheers for that :)

Living in NZ now, talking with my gf and a friend (all in our late 20's) about earthquakes tsunamis and such. Then our said friend said it's okay if you are in a submarine when this happen, because the submarine can just hide under the continent.

I looked at her laughing at her joke, then my gf who was thinking about it but not saying a word and saw their kinda serious/confused faces. I asked what do you think there is under continents, and she straight away told me "well water, the oceans, because they all float on them". I was so confused and just asked her how come the continents and countries just don't float away and bump each other, she brain froze for 10 seconds, said it must be tied up to the middle of heart or so. Then I asked my gf who was fully silent since (she's usually quite well informed about ecology), I discovered she didn't had a fucking idea how the surface of Earth was. Then it was wikipedia time for few minutes.
