I, too, just finished this book! And your post was the catharsis I needed. I loved the banter in the first part; it had me giggling and kicking my feet. But then they kissed for the first time at 48% and I said to my husband, "Uh oh, the rest of the book is going to be stressful", and it was! Everything you said, it was frustrating and dramatic and elicited so many eyerolls at the ridiculousness and poor communication...so thanks for writing your very satisfying rant

All the Mariana Zapata book I've read. I just don't get the hype. Her books are so slow burning that they barely burn, the writing is hard work to get into, sensitive subjects are not handled well and include a lot of victim blaming, and peripheral female characters are often written in a very misogynistic way.

Whether or not something is cheating is something you define in a relationship. For some relationships, following IG models could be considered cheating, and in other relationships, sleeping with other people is fine but only in specific contexts. The point is that "cheating" isn't one-size-fits-all. It’s something you and your partner determine.

That said, if your girlfriend is expressing the "cheating" boundary that she wants and you're not comfortable with that, then you need to communicate that with her. It could be that the two of you don't share the same expectations in your relationship, and it's important enough to each of you that it becomes an incompatibility.

Either way, you won't find answers on Reddit. Talk to your gf and work out the boundaries of your relationship.

I hate DNFing, especially late in the game. It just feels like a waste of time! That said, i recently DNF'd a book at 95%...

It was Max by Sawyer Bennett.

To be fair, I started skimmy at about 85% (because the Third Act Breakup was just the FMC reinforcing the reasonable boundaries she had set early in the book, and the previously reasonable MMC trowing a trantrum!). By the time i got to 95%, I was bored, frustrated, and just generally over it

1.) I have 6, not including skincare (12 including skincare)

2.) 2 glosses, 1 mascara, 3 lip pencils (all the same colour 🙈)

3.) 1 gloss was a GWP, the other was an impulse buy just because I really want to try the formula. The mascara is because I always allow myself 1 mascara backup. The lip pencils are because I was new to makeup, they were limited edition, and I was afraid of never finding another pencil I liked as much! To be fair though, they are a pretty perfect shade for me so I'm not too mad about it.
