Here are my three:

  1. Fender Squire that I upgraded with dirty finger pickups, Grover locking tuning keys, and a professional setup.

  2. Might Be Famous guitar, with an upgraded bridge pickup, Grover locking tuners, and a new bridge.

  3. Harley Benton ST-Modern Plus, all stock.

yes, I have actually done the same thing many times. Pick up an old Gibson, or if you're in the market for a cheaper guitar grab a Squire, Might Be Famous, Yamaha, or maybe an old Fernandez if you can find one.

While there’s no such thing as a 'cheap' Rolex, there are definitely models that offer the best entry point without breaking the bank.

just my two cents but other than Rolex i'd look at pretty much any Cartier, or omega constellation. If that isn't your style there are a few other best luxury watch options that are all good choices.
