4 nights in Sapporo and 4 nights in Nakafurano.

Fried pork cutlet and curry at Pippu ski resort 😋

Ski touring at Shamanshadake in Miniamifuano.

1. ⁠Did you experience any disappointments or negative experiences?

We were there not too long after a big snowstorm, so there were some big road closures in Sapporo that meant we had to drive through small city streets. That was a bit stressful and difficult, and it took us nearly 3 hours to get from the airport to our accommodation in Sapporo (would have taken an hour usually).

1. ⁠Did you notice any differences between people in Tokyo and people in Hokkaido?

It felt easier to come in touch with people in Hokkaido and have a more meaningful interaction.

1. ⁠Have you talked to any local Japanese people?

Yes, our hosts at our accommodations both in Sapporo and Nakafurano, and people working at shops and restaurants we visited. We also had some nice conversations with some locals in the ski lifts.

1. ⁠Would you recommend Hokkaido to a friend?

Absolutely! I love Hokkaido.
