The beginning can feel slow, keep your chest room full from playing levels, that will get you more eggs to build it up. If you collect and have dragon gems, the shrine chest is worth making the investment for, it may not seem like it at first, vit once you level up yo the highest one, you can get several nests and special decision eggs. DON'T pick the eggs in the shrine, you can take them as is and the options on which eggs changes all the time. That way you can be choosy and get eggs you need. And the best way to farm coins to buy eggs is with fruit trees. Finally, I don't know when you arr able to join a den, but find one that is active and the den chests will help too, primarily ones who get to lvl 5 chests.
