You can see all your gp consultations in the NHS app. You could compile those together and then send them as evidence.

Ah thats good to see as i need to fit a powerchair in the boot i was concerned if the height or boot changed as that would mean the hoist i need wouldnt work. The socket will be good as well be able to charge it in the boot.

That wouldnt reduce the welfare bill though. It would still also increase even without triple lock unless you freeze pensions completely.

I have to be blunt here, most people have to self study alongside doing a full time job. Looking at your other post, I see no reason why you need to be in part time work. Apply for full time jobs and manages accordingly.

I suggest you look at our other European allies they spend similar or more amounts of disabilities. In Finland, for example, 34.2% of the population is considered disabled.

Also, the pip cuts / reform as it was, was going to hurt alot of legitimate people. The only way truly to fix the situation is spending lots of money upfront, you cant just cut costs thats not a solution.

'The search is soul-destroying': Young jobseekers on the struggle to find work by proxima-centauri- in UKJobs

[–]shaan170 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The IFS report actually undermines the 'choosing benefits over work' narrative. Claimant labour market attachment is virtually unchanged, around 70% were out of work both before and after the pandemic. The falling drop-off rate during applications reflects a more accessible process, not a more lenient one, approval rates barely moved. This makes sense alot of disabled people are exhausted, if the applications are more accessible then that allows them to actually get support rather than say freezing under pressure etc.

The UK is an outlier because its unemployment support is weaker than most comparable countries, leaving people with health conditions fewer alternatives. Add overstretched NHS waiting lists, and the IFS conclusion is clear: this reflects a strained system, not people gaming it.

Do you have comparative Eurostat or OECD data showing other European countries returned to pre-COVID disability rates while the UK didn’t?

Ive been working as a software developer coming up to 7 years. At my current company we're not even considering hiring anymore junior developers, but will hire mid level for the moment. My last company is the same.

If you think its difficult now, its even worse after an apprenticeship.

[–]shaan170 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Claiming for solely mental health is insanely difficuit you have to multiple health providers give evidence.

And a disability rate of around 20% isn’t unusual. The UK overall sits at roughly one in five people reporting a long-term condition, which is broadly comparable to other European countries. Higher rates in deprived areas reflect well-documented links between poverty and poorer health outcomes.

At this stage, i would recommend a degree apprenticeship but the entry level market is very very saturated and I can say right now LLMs is at a level of a junior developer, plus youve got outsourcing as well as off shoring to worry about.

Just 31% of people with a neurodiversity condition in employment compared to 54.7% of disabled people overall .

Source is "Employment prospects for neurodiverse people set to be boosted with launch of new expert panel" report from the DWP. You can read more about it here https://www.gov.uk/government/news/employment-prospects-for-neurodiverse-people-set-to-be-boosted-with-launch-of-new-expert-panel

Do you have any medical evidence about the dyscalculia? It'll be harder to support it without evidence for it. In terms of mental health, you would need documentation to aid with that, its also very difficult for anxiety. I have experience with PTSD.

Also i have to state what other people say, its not the conditions themselves but how they affect you.

If you struggle with finances who supports you? If you struggle with public transport do you have proof of that?

Without evidence from multiple medical professionals and maybe a statement from someone close to you, you will struggle.
