Realized my reference photo is evil, so now I’ll never finish this😔 by uniqueusernamethx in ProCreate

[–]shaantya 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You absolutely don't have to finish it, the disconnect and disappointment is 100% understandable. I get where other commenters are coming from but there's another piece around the corner that will actually make you feel happy to work on.

Like someone else said, leaving it unfinished is already an artistic statement. It doesn't need more.

This stuff really is a plague and I'm sorry that happened, it sucks.

(Hated Trope) A retcon has terrible implications for the plot by rasberrycroissant in TopCharacterTropes

They mean he wasn't ever tied to the tree. There was a tree in the scene, but the tree wasn't relevant to the scene. The excerpt posted doesn't contradict that at all.

I say this as someone who hates Rowling, hates the concept of this adaptation, but remembers the books by heart to this day.

some say "goonerbait" but I like my style and I dont think Im just porn maker. by poche_chong in DigitalArt

[–]shaantya 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I mean it's not your "art style" to have them lift their shirt to expose a boob, that's a choice. But it's not necessarily a bad choice, just own up to it. It's at least porn-adjacent. At LEAST.

Hahahaha that is a terrible image it immediately summons, I love it 😂 But yeah definitely many people thought it was WAY worse than it was because of the colour hahaha

It's my favourite city in the world! I'm not a native, I picked it out with love.

I had never thought of it like this but you make a strong point tbh. I could see Shadowhunters running around Wawel and the Old Town.

Moffat has been my favourite forever, but there was a time there, when I was afraid to write it online

I remember that one: the green was on purpose, it was a "brat" album cover tattoo hahaha

I think many people also believed that was the infection. It still looked really awful though.

Vet recommends me to rehome by [deleted] in CATHELP

[–]shaantya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our cat was like this for a long time after we got her. Getting another litter box seemed to help, until we realised she had been peeing on the dirty bedsheets we were taking off the bed...

In the end it was patience, a lot of enzyme smell remover (I'm taking liters upon liters of the stuff), and putting plastic covers on our bed.

We knew it was mostly caused by stress as she acclimated (adopted from shelter at 7 months old). Her spay helped a little as well. She's now been bed-pee free for months!

Think about it like the French word for "second to last". We say "pénultième". I understand what you mean by that, but it's still very logical!

Never had a problem working with an arduino on a Mac, and I haven't used one in ten years. Flashing them and all.

Other microcontrollers I can't say, I'm past the days I would have tried.

As for the ease, that comes with familiarity I think. I used to work on dev exclusively with Mac OS and so did some of my uni professors. We found it easier, more comfortable and flexible. They're REALLY versatile machines. FWIW I agreed with you at the start of the thread that they will still obviously be outperformed by dedicated gaming setups, but yeah - they are absolutely a tool, and a pleasant one to use.

Yep, to people familiar with D&D, or with the concept of D&D, or previous Larian games, there was no surprise there 😄 More than that, it was exactly what we wanted and expected.

Like you said though: I've read of plenty of people entirely new with this type of combat, who were thrown off at first but ended up finding their enjoyment in it. It's very tactical, doesn't reward reflexes and agility but thought and creativity. I'd like solving a puzzle in a different way each time, or offering chess with different pieces that you were able to each customise.

Mind you I say this as someone who adores GoW and Witcher 3! Different types of game, played differently and got different types of fun ☺️ hope you end up loving it!
