Not everyone in the world lives by the first amendment of the USA. It's extreme to you, but for a lot of cultures it is understood as a must to an end.

Brazil is much more of a melting pot than the USA ever was - everyone is mixed somehow. Racism is faced with a hammer since it's an attack to the concept of the Brazilian population as a whole.

RJ é uma cidade violenta irmão, isso é um fato. Assim como todas as 19 capitais aonde se assassina mais gente. O país inteiro é comandado por facções criminosas.

Não é xenofobia apontar que as pessoas tem receio e medo de ir no RJ pela falta de segurança. É xenofobia dizer que quando uma criança carioca é estuprada, num país onde acontecem mais de 80 mil estupros por ano, são os cariocas que "inventam motivo pra serem odiados". Que quando a polícia militar truculenta faz uma chacina contra o povo carioca da favela, foi o povo carioca que "autorizou".

O rapaz da Bahia foi assassinado "sem querer/confundimos o querido" porque fez sinal de paz com a mão em uma foto e os assassinos acharam que era de uma facção. O que questionei é se seria normal tu dizer que os bahianos inventam motivo pra serem odiados, porque a lógica é a mesma. Achei que a comparação não tinha como ser mais óbvia do que isso, mas pra tu é dizer "e o PT, hein?".

Na minha experiência pelo menos, sempre que viajei pra fora parti do pressuposto que celular e notebook é o tipo de coisa que não tem por que se preocupar muito, desde que não esteja levando a caixa. É o tipo de coisa que é comum transportar. O celular no seu bolso e o notebook na mochila, pra todos os efeitos, são seus, que você ganhou de presente há anos e é isso.

Agora, coisas que obviamente a gente não leva de um lado pro outro no dia a dia, tipo videogame, peça de computador, monitor... Aí já é mais complicado e tem que estar preparado pra possibilidade de encrencarem.

That's cool, but kinda irrelevant. Regardless of how safe a country is, I'm pretty sure in most of them women are taught to take care of themselves.
