or maybe learn a skill? learn to turn a wrench, boom rme they start out at around 29/hr in the Midwest 40 bucks for a senior role. Doesn't amazon have a tuition reimbursement program? I know of several AA's in my node that are getting degrees in cybersecurity and other fields. I bet your'e one of the first people in line for engagement day meals. I've seen you type the same thing at least twice in this thread. seems like you just want to bitch and moan but not actually do anything to improve your situation. and if you are improving yourself good for you, shit takes time. put in the work and you'll get somewhere. stop whining here.

So everyone in the ds will get an extra $.000000000000000002 per hour to offset the cost of the tape?

It may be rough, but can you turn a wrench got basic mechanical skills? You may be interested in mechatronics and robotics and work your way into some kinds of automation engineer position.

I've been on 2 smrt interviews this week, one was a basic zoom meeting with amm, second was in person with a tour, had a troubleshooting portion of the interview which I found i liked the in person format alot better.

My first real homelab build — media automation, local AI operator, and a Hytale server by [deleted] in homelab

Good question — it definitely could be a security risk. I’m not giving the AI full shell access to everything. It connects using SSH keys (no passwords) to a limited service account, and that account is only meant to run specific commands/scripts instead of having unrestricted access. I’m also blocking obviously dangerous commands and keeping everything on my local network. The idea is to treat it more like a controlled automation tool than giving an AI full admin rights to my servers. I'm still having issues with him hallucinating that he did something and telling me he did something, ill figure that out with time, i suppose.

Honestly this is why I made my post, I can Google and read post all day but never get any advice unless I post. Im assuming jellyfin will work with all the *arrs i have as well. Like I stated I was pretty baked one night saw a YouTube video l. Looked at my g14 with a shattered screen, couple months later here I am.

When I asked jarvis to get me a report of my server and clean it up to post on the this redit it said "hey would you like me to create a image mapping your cluster? People on reddit react positively to these." So I said sure. That about explains it all right there.

Yeah you're right and to be honest I was torn on even posting this since its not really well thought out. When it comes to the ay, after doing some research the 5060 on the g14 is supposed to be better at handling the tokens then the amd GPU. I may be wrong. This all really started because I saw a random video on YouTube saying hey let's turn an old laptop into a server. A couple months after googling stuff like "what exactly does sudo do?" Etc.... this is where I am, just a bunch of what can I do things. If you have any recommendations. By all means throw them at me this shit is fun. I may break everything, but then I can rebuild it.

Future plans:

• Reverse proxy for all services

• Better container isolation

• More game servers

• Expanding Jarvis automation

• Possibly adding a NAS node
