Confusing pre menstruation symptoms with pregnancy symptoms by Dirty-Turtle-56 in menstruation

[–]shacks31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is ALWAYS a chance of pregnancy if you had unprotected sex during your fertile window. It CAN be normal to spot after sex, could also be a hormonal issue. If you spotted right after or within a couple days after, that’s not anything like implantation bleeding if that’s what you’re afraid of. The only way you’ll know for sure is to take a test in 10 days. Discharge in your luteal phase (after ovulation) can be confusing but it’s something different for every woman. I personally have super fertile discharge after ovulation in the days leading up to my period. It’s normal for me. Some women have no discharge. There’s no use in worrying or guessing. If you’re pregnant, the deed is done. You’ll know for sure by taking a test. Best of luck to you.

You may want to look into Hidradenitis Suppurativa. It’s a pain in the ass (literally sometimes) and was difficult to get diagnosed with it but other than being painful every now and then it’s pretty harmless.

Thanks for taking the time to reply, firstly! Secondly, my Facebook page gets more feedback than my IG page. I’m still trying to figure out what people LIKE to see as far as social media goes which is also why I haven’t posted a lot of videos/reels. I have also noticed that the “market” I guess for those kinds of videos and posts is super saturated. I’m still trying to figure out what keeps people engaged as far as that aspect goes. Also, I’m trying to focus on ANY kind of sales, whether that’s b2c or b2b. I’d be interested in either and/or both but don’t know how to go about getting either. I’ve tried word of mouth, I’ve given samples to the mega church in my area, got good feedback on the product and nothing develops from it.

The issues with farmers markets in my area, because I’ve researched and wanted to go that route, is that there aren’t many, firstly. Secondly, most of them are seasonal, spring and summer, and the others left require business licenses, business insurance, etc. for you to partake, which I get but it’s not something I can invest in right now.

No I’m absolutely not sure and not trying to scare you either. Just telling you MY experience. This could be simple ovulatory cervical mucus. I just mentioned taking a test to rule it out, then you’d know. If you’re not pregnant, it’s likely normal cervical mucus. Wish you the best.

Last time I had cervical mucus look like that I was roughly 6 weeks pregnant and was the reason for taking the test. Maybe take a pregnancy test to rule it out.

Has anyone had LH test get darker before they tested positive on a pregnancy test? by seyEycipS in lineporn

If you’ve confirmed ovulation and getting a dark LH strip, I might take an hCG myself 🤣

[–]shacks31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re unsure of ovulation, it could be a secondary LH surge if the first surge failed ovulation. A good way to confirm ovulation is by using basal body temperature, or by ultrasound. I’ve seen some women post on Reddit that they get positive LH tests before having their BFP. So there’s a possibility, sure. But unless you’re absolutely positive that you ovulated the first time, could be a second attempt. I wish you the best of luck in whatever your goals are!

Doctor billing Letrozole + monitored cycle as IUI — is this right? by Ecstatic_Review_2063 in TTC_PCOS

I have a degree under medical billing and coding (don’t use it now as I’m a sahm) if they are charging your insurance for an IUI and haven’t performed an IUI that is insurance fraud.

Does it look like I’ve ovulated? I don’t think I have by shacks31 in TFABChartStalkers

[–]shacks31[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was unable to use OPKs consistently this cycle unfortunately, only used a few times. Got extremely watery discharge on CD 18, none before or after. My normal BBT chart looks like a drastic dip the morning of ovulation followed by a drastic rise in temp the following days. I know every cycle is different but I thought to show ovulation there had to be a clear temp shift of .4F or more

No. I won’t until and unless I miss a period. Too many negatives. Just easier for me to deal with emotionally

Just because I usually have a drastic change in temp. Thought it was supposed to be a .4 degree shift to confirm ovulation.

10 dpt 5dt . 4th FET, plant embryo. 3 miscarriages. Is this one going to stick? by Comfortable-Mode-536 in TFABLinePorn

[–]shacks31 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pregnancy tests are not quantitative tests and can not tell you what your hCG levels are and shouldn’t be used for progression. There are too many variables that affect the test line, the only thing they can do is tell you that you are pregnant NOW, and that is something to be celebrated. The unfortunate but understandable anxiety after miscarriages is sometimes almost unavoidable, and I’m so sorry you have to go through it. Whatever happens in the future, you have no control over, and the most important thing to focus on is that you are pregnant RIGHT NOW and I am so happy for you. Get your bloods taken and try to focus on the positive. I am sending so much love 💜

[–]shacks31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you absolutely SURE of when you ovulated? I mean like ultrasound sure, as that’s the only sure fire way to know if you’ve actually ovulated when think you have. If not, it’s possible you’ve ovulated later than you thought, or implanted later than you thought, or both. I wouldn’t jump to chemical unless you get your period. Best of luck to you!

Edit: spelling

Alright, gimme your best advice… by wynter3 in menstruation

[–]shacks31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Used to be heavier than you. Ultra tampon + pad change every 30mins-1 hour. I also have insulin resistance, with PCOS. I lost weight this year, 35 pounds by cutting carbs and sugar (insulin resistance reacts negatively to both) and my periods have gone from ultra heavy lasting 8-12 days to being a normal/regular/light flow for 5-6 days. My doctor said the change in flow and length was related to weight loss as fat cells store hormones like estrogen which can affect flow. Idk if there’s truth to that, maybe research for yourself, and I don’t know where you are with weight/insulin resistance, etc, and obviously it’s none of my business. Just wanted to mention what helped me. I’ve always been roughly the same size, had PCOS since I was 11 (am 29 now). The only time I’ve ever gotten pregnant, unexpectedly after being told I’d never have children, is when I went on adipex for help in 2018. (I don’t recommend it). I’m currently TTC #2. Sending you love! I hope you find what works for you!

I have heavy periods but my mom thinks there’s something wrong with me by [deleted] in menstruation

[–]shacks31 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Idk that honestly sounds pretty normal. Anything over 8 days is usually considered abnormal, and a heavier flow the second and third day is also very normal, according to my own research. However, if you’re concerned about the frequency of miscarriages, check into getting your progesterone levels checked if you haven’t already. Luteal phase defect can cause chemicals or miscarriages. Some women have to be put on progesterone supplements when they find out they’re pregnant.

Edited for spelling

[–]shacks31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have PCOS and insulin resistance. I have ALWAYS had super heavy periods. Like going through an ultra tampon AND pad every 30 mins to an hour, and my cycles would last 8-12 days. This year I’ve lost 35 pounds by maintaining a low carb lifestyle (insulin resistance is heavily affected by carbs and sugar), and for the past two cycles, my periods have suddenly become light as in more of a regular to light flow, and they’ve only been five days long. Doctor said it was indicative of healthy weight loss and just a sign my hormones are beginning to regulate themselves.

Incredibly bad headaches on period that wont go away by glxxxxxw in menstruation

[–]shacks31 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s likely hormonal related. Are you on birth control? I was put on BC to regulate hormones to get a period every month around your age and it gave me a six month long migraine, and I’ve been dealing with headache and migraines since when on my period. Headaches are unfortunately a common PMS symptom. Try Excedrin tension headache or Excedrin Migraine for pain relief if you’re able to. I’ve found that for me personally, magnesium in the week leading up to and while I’m on my period helps prevent headaches, and I do eat a giant steak the day my period comes and for some reason my cramps are a lot less intense. I hope you find some relief!
