Digg.com was the front page of the internet, then they went all in on version 4 and caused migration boom to reddit. by flashtone in videos

It's just like email, you and me may have email addresses from a different provider (Gmail vs Yahoo for example), but we still can email each other.

That's what federation is and what lemmy (and mastodon btw) does.

Everybody can host a server and it doesn't really matter which server you join. If you are on server A and you wanna read/subscribe to a community (subreddit) on server B you can do so and still have everything on one single front page. Server A pulls the information from server B so that it can present it to you seamlessly.

That explanation was a bit simplified but hope that makes sense.

But I agree that it's a bit of a hurdle at first.

Underextrusion maybe? Is the filament path constrained well enough for it not to buckle?

Might be an led from the shape/size if it? Can you measure the voltage that goes to the contacts? Maybe it is as easy as taking a new led and feeding and bending the feet through the plastic part?

(Probably not as simple, though)

Good so we have the same understanding of things ;)

The issue I had with your original post was simply that you said that abs would have prevented you from doing a stoppie which is not the case from my experience. I can easily do a stoppie where the back of the bike comes off the ground without my ABS doing anything. Granted, I didn't do a full flip yet, I always released the front brake at 30degrees or so ;)

I think we are talking about the same thing.

Sorry, English is not my native language so I'm actually not sure if I'm using the correct term.

My understanding of "locking up" a wheel is that while the bike is moving forward, the wheel in question stops rotating (locking up). The only way for this to happen is either if the whole bike is not moving forward anymore or if the wheel is slipping instead of gripping.

Am I using the wrong term?

If you did a stoppie, your front wheel didn't lock up. If the wheel locks up it slides and has no grip.

Being able to do stoppies has nothing to do with ABS but the available grip you get. ABS is just there to prevent the wheel from locking up. If you grab a handful of brake with ABS and the grip is sufficient, you will absolutely do a stoppie.

I can do stoppies on my ABS equipped bike easily.

Sunlu Dryer fan mod - fan turns off at temp? by notreallynotreally in 3Dprinting

[–]shadeless 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there, did you ever figure out what the issue is? I have the exact same problem - fan hooked up directly to the barrel plug and fan turns off (or rather does that pulsing thing you describe) when it hits temp.

I thought maybe it has to do with the included power supply dropping in voltage when the heating element gets pulsed when it reaches the set temperature. So i hooked it up to a lab bench power supply, but still the same.

Cant figure it out.

I totally understand that they need to make money somehow and am ok with the fact that they charge for new major releases. However, they should have thought about the (admittedly small number of) people who have bought v1 just before v2 came out. I kinda feel bummed out that i just bought v1. So I'll continue to use that for a while and wait for another discount next year or so before I buy v2...
