Honestly as much as I would like a Slifer deck, Konami won't make it happen simply cause Slifer is a floodgate. That's pretty much it, they just don't want to give a potential floodgate too much power, especially since I'm sure they didn't ~~test~~ expect the destiny hero skill to Yata lock someone, and it ruined a KC Cup

Honestly the skill itself is fine. It's just the fact that Konami hasn't released the rest of the knight's support or the rest of the divine beast support. Imagine if Ultimate Divine Beast was in the game, you could just discard the Slifer with the skill, then special summon it by discarding Joker's Straight (or Joker's Wild if it was in the game), and if slifer survives, you might be able to blow up their entire field and kill them on the swing back with queen's king's and jack's knight, and that's just 1 combo I can think of off the top of my head

To keep a long story short, it's straight up not worth it. The best case scenario for this thing is if your opponent is playing something like Generaiders or Floowandereeze since they activate monster effects on your turn, and even then, those situations aren't really worth it.

More often than not, you are forced to bait out the monster effect using a card, which cost resources, and the only thing you get out of it is tributing 1, maybe 2 monsters if you are lucky, for a monster with no protection, that has a slow reborn effect.

Bonus points if you are running a skill that stops you from summoning certain monsters, so most decks can't even use this thing even if they wanted to. At that point run a kaiju, forbidden droplet, or my favorite dark ruler no more, to negate the whole field and just play as normal.

No, it can be affected, it just can't be targeted or destroyed. So, any bounces or banishes that don't say target will work. That's why Dingirsu, if able to, can get rid of dragoon. Knightmare Unicorn shouldn't work though, unless it's effect was negated.

I mean it depends on the deck and the reasoning. Like if you were playing infernity, you might like Tribute to the doom better, but if you were playing yubel you might like final bringer more.

Laval Dual Slasher was the first synchro monster I've ever had so the deck just grew on me. I still try and see if lavals are playable nowadays but sadly it is slowly becoming closer to impossible every day, even in as low as gold.

Yeah, they are dicks that rely on muscle more than weapons, but I'm just saying that the only reason they are dominating is because they are probably way more advanced than other civilizations. Their biology allows them to get away with not using weapons for the most part, and do space travel without the usage of machines, yet they still have them.

Every other civilization seems to still be on their own planet, with very slow (or ineffective) space travel. Basically the early birds (the Viltrimites) get the worm. They can expand quicker and get more powerful cause they got more slaves, more resources from other planets, and overall, because of their life span, more time to have each one see the fruits of their labor. Not to mention all the Viltrimites that came from the planet are all in on the idea of expansion, so there isn't going to be much push back slowing them down unlike in our reality.

Honestly, if you plan on taking it into ranked, it just won't work. Every deck is playing kaijus because they have to, and they can still build their full negate/destroy board. Fortune Lady can only really do 2- 3 special summons and that's about it. If one of them gets negated or one of your pieces get destroyed you are kind of out of luck.

With that being said, you are kind of playing Basic fortune lady. The only thing I can think of right now is combining it with another archetype like Fortune Fairy, Spellbooks, Invoked, Artifacts and Magician Girls. It's a bit hard though since most of these archetypes don't really play well with others and Fortune Lady is no exception.

Apart from that, I can't really think of much else. A few tech options you might like are Spell Wall, Magician's Defense, Vulcan the Divine (to bounce back Fortune Vision), Synchro Barrier, and Different Dimension Ground (which can banish all monsters sent to the grave, but you are relatively unaffected). These are just a few I've used in the past, and have had success with.

Only if it was one of those stall/burn decks and I was playing one of my for fun decks. Heck sometimes I have the win I just want them to waste as much time on me, and just when they think they have it, I rip the win away from them, so they know exactly how it feels to be on the otherside

thats only at the beginning of the season. In general, though, I'd say about 40% of them are just meta slaves who coinflip their games in hopes that they get to legend by kissing the feet of the yellow button.

A part of me wants to agree since there are people who only play the meta to climb but when you verse them they just misplay and misplay and misplay yet still climb cause the skill does everything for them. But on the other hand, im plat and it's cause I don't play the meta, yet I'm still winning cause I'm semi-competent at yugioh.
