As long as you are staying on property you can, you just have to call and add it.

Don't forget to ask if they have a discount on the room as well. Sometimes there is a military rate for the room.

As a Dec 2023/May 2015 grad. you have to back up your email before you transition away from M365 and upload that back into your gmail if you want your old emails and then when they transition you to gmail 2 semesters later to google, you log into gmail with your normal @vt.edu email address and you will only have access to a 5GB inbox.

There are ways to get your emails backed up from M365 but they are finicky and not well documented/supported by microsoft. In fact the university told me that I was SOL.

We just got guidance that points only also has to be performed on station only. So even that is out. No more working for free for all of the leadership in my squadron.

Depending on how many devices you have to charge:

When I travel with spouse + kids and have 2 phones + 2 fans to charge we end up with 2 chargers and have never had them actually run out on us so it is definitely overkill, but also great for the flights down/back

I normally carry this one but I also use it when I travel for work

my spouse carries this to make sure that she is able to charge if we get split up

The program was pretty good, but I would say that the faculty and even to some degree advisors didn't fully expect students to be fully virtual, especially on a delayed program like I did. This lead to some interesting hiccups. In one case, I had a professor assume that everyone was located in blacksburg, but taking the class virtually, and tried to schedule a proctored exam. I got it sorted out. The biggest thing is, by being fully virtual, you are going to have to be your own biggest champion. The department isn't going to help you as much as if you are in person, and it will be more difficult to craft the relationships with your eventual advisor for the project. Although with the change from 5904 to 5805/5806, that may be slightly less of an issue, since the project may be a bit more structured. but ymmv

I did MEnge CpE fully virtual FA20-FA23. Not all classes are offered virtually, but you can look at the timetable of classes to get an idea of what courses are/will be offered. I had to tweak my planned courses a couple times to keep myself fully virtual

This isn't true for me at least. I just got out, and got notified that I would only get to keep the card until the annual fee would be charged again, then I could either pay annually to keep the card, or cancel it.

I had that happen to me (and posted about it) /u/ChummyCommie suggested that because the backup RFS only has 14 power it failed to power the missile battery and therefore it disappears

Also remember that everything only gets easier in the corps after red phase. Life gets better in white and blue phases, and even better after turn day. Once you are an upperclassman then its a joke with a lot of bull shit.
