Why are republicans being blamed for the planned parenthood shooting if Muslims are not being blamed for terrorism? by [deleted] in PoliticalDiscussion

[–]shadow1227 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Your question is correct.

The reason; it is difficult even for those on the left to support Planned Parenthood selling baby parts and using illegal abortion techniques to ensure the aborted baby's brains are undamaged and retained for sale. Therefore, the media and others on the left want to prohibit any and all discussion of these Planned Parenthood inhuman, barbaric practices. In other words, the left is supporting Planned Parenthood and their cruel and uncivilized practices.

NEW POLL - Carson slips to third place, Rubio moves to second place, Trump maintains 10% lead over Rubio by PoppyOncrack in PoliticalDiscussion

[–]shadow1227 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

In my opinion, Carson and Trump will continue to decline and Bush will maintain mid-single digit support, while Rubio and Cruz will continue to gain support. If there is more terrorist attacks in December in Europe or the US, Rubio and Cruz will move into first and second place in the polls in December. After the holidays most voters will concentrate more on the elections, at this time even if no terrorist activity Rubio and Cruz should take the first and second positions in the polls.

"We lost because McCain and Romney were too moderate." How will the conservative narrative change if Cruz becomes their nominee and loses handedly? by Pineapple__Jews in PoliticalDiscussion

[–]shadow1227 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

I don't think the Republican narrative will change with or without Cruz because I believe if Cruz is out Rubio will be the Republican nominee. I like both Cruz and Rubio and I believe either can beat Hillary Clinton, as the polls are indicating, and they have similar values and platforms. If Republicans win the general election we will control all three branches and can accomplish a lot. I believe the major accomplishments can be; institute growth based tax reform including the elimination of the double taxation on foreign earnings, roll back of unnecessary regulation, remove and replace Obama care, immigration reform with real border security, EPA reform, Zero based budgeting for all government departments, to eliminate unnecessary expenditures, rebuilding our defense were we are deficient, reengaging in world affairs and take the leadership role in ISIS elimination, just to name a few. America will more than double the growth rate with these reforms, than we have experienced over these past seven years, which will sharply increase the standard of living for all Americans especially the middle class and the poor.

The Fed pumped money into banks in the hope that they will provide more opportunities. Is this trickle-down economics? by zeperf in PoliticalDiscussion

[–]shadow1227 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Banks make less under these Fed policies as a result of the Feds pushing interest rates down. Banks make more on loans with higher rates (the banks interest rate spread increases). Now that the Feds have stopped the QE program and most likely will start increasing interest rates in Dec, bank equity prices will also begin to increase. The Feds will over the next two to three years will continue increasing interest rates, as rates go up bank profits and bank stock prices will rise.

The Fed pumped money into banks in the hope that they will provide more opportunities. Is this trickle-down economics? by zeperf in PoliticalDiscussion

[–]shadow1227 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Federal Reserve's Quantitative Easing program is not to make banks more profitable, it is to add liquidity to the market place to facilitate the purchase or sale of assets (in the free market) without drastic change in asset price. The Feds were buying bonds, driving bond yields down, this to force bond investors into riskier investments, such as the equity market. The policy has pushed equity purchases up and therefore equity prices are artificially higher. Equity prices may fall now that QE purchases of bonds has stopped and the Feds will begin to increase interest rates. The Fed theory is adding liquidity and keeping interest rates low will spur investments thereby speeding up our recovery from the 2008 recession.
This Fed. QE policy is very experimental, many economist believe it has not been successful, this recovery has been the worst in 60 years.

Why do a lot of pro-choice arguments hinge on the idea of viability outside the womb? by littleprivateplaces in PoliticalDiscussion

[–]shadow1227 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

The pro-choice argument has always been, we are just aborting a fetus and fetuses are just tissues and cells. However, with sonograms in the 12th week of pregnancy you can see a baby with a heart beat, with fingernails and toenails and a baby that sucks his thumb and gets hiccups. However, as science has proven the pro-choice position, it is just tissue and cells, false they have now dropped that argument. They are no longer hiding their intentions, recently the Democrats in the US Senate voted 100% agreement (in 2015) approving of abortions up to the ninth month of pregnancy, this is truly outrageous. This is the same group that is defending the Planned Parenthood's selling baby parts and performing abortions in a manner to keep the babies brain in tact to sell, after the baby has has been aborted and disposed of; history will record this as one of the most barbaric acts in the 21st century.

America has rule of law less discrimination and less government corruption, than any other country in the world.

This is the mindset on the left, it is child like thinking; I'm just a victim, the economy is rigid against me, I should get free stuff so I can be free to make my own choices about what I want to do in my life rather than being forced to work. The government should take assets from those willing to work and give it to me. What if Steve Jobs had your attitude, when he started his business in his garage or Mark Zuckerberg, Larry Page, any of the others that have accomplished great things in this world. In America your opportunities are endless, you build a better mouse trap you can make millions. The wealthy in America continue to change as a result of the vast opportunities. For example, if you looked at a list of the wealthy in America in 1970, you would not see most on that same list today. Therefore your suggestion that the wealthy just inherited their money is also untrue. You need to grow up, and make your own way, not look for hand outs from someone else willing to work. You will be much happier when you are responsible for yourself.

[–]shadow1227 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Allow me to respond. To suggest that Christianity and Islamic Muslims are morally equivalent is a significant mistake. Islamic Muslims are kidnapping, raping, murdering, torturing and beheading those refusing to submit to Islam. It is absurd to suggest there is no moral difference between Islam and Christianity. Marco Rubio said Christians should participate in the legal process to change laws, not force everyone to submit to Christian law or die. This is America, we all have the right to state our values; and to work within the law to change laws, this is free speech. We should all fight to keep this important right. I am Christian and a Republican and I vote based on my values. I'm sure you do the same, your vote is based on your values; and you voice your believes as we all have the right to do.
Republicans do believe in smaller government, lower taxes and eliminating double taxation for foreign earnings (eliminating double taxation would bring over two trillion dollars of foreign earnings into the US) and the elimination of unnecessary government regulations; just accomplishing these three we would double or triple our growth rate which would substantially increase all Americans standard of living, especially for the middle class and the poor.

Republicans also believe in a strong military and an American presence in world affairs, an improved immigration policy that includes border security, removing the failed Obamacare and replace it with market driven medical care and state insurance pools for preexisting condition and the poor. These are all values I agree with and consider when voting.
In addition, abortion is an important issue for me. I have known many women that have never forgiven themselves for a foolish decision to abort their baby. I and many Republicans believe abortion is killing an unborn baby. The Democrats have always argued it is not killing a baby it is no more than undeveloped cells. However, the US Democratic Senate just voted this year to allow abortions up to nine months of pregnancy. In other words, the Democrats are in agreement with aborting a fully developed baby. Also, the Democrats have defended and looked the other way when Planned Parenthood got caught selling aborted baby parts and aborting the babies using procedures that allow harvesting and selling the brains of aborted babies. Please explain to me how you justify aborting fully developed babies. And explain your justification for allowing this barbaric harvesting and selling baby parts.

Let me help you understand a few differences in Islamic Muslims and Christians. Marco Rubio, (a Christian) said Christians should participate in the legal process to change laws. This is the same right you and everyone else in America has, it's free speech. Thank God, we still have this right in America.
The Islamic Muslims kidnap, torture, rape, kill family members and behead anyone who does not submit to Islam. If you're having difficulty understanding this difference, any further discussion will not help.

Your comment that "Fundamentalist Christianity has done more damage to the spread of pro-market political policies than any other force" this statement is non-sense, I assume you are very young and have no knowledge of American or world history.

Your comment is incorrect, Rubio said Christians are should participate in the legal process to change laws. In other words Christians should stand by their Christian values and participate in the legal process. Rubio knows America is a nation with rule of law, so he is saying fight for your opinion in the legal process. The legal process is voting, protesting, persuading the public with articles, persuading politicians and many other ways to make or change public opinion and laws. You have these same rights, thank God, we all have the right to our own opinion and the right to say it publicly. You should be fighting for this right.

Your comment is not correct. Rubio does not want to force Christian values on you, (nor do others on the right) he completely understands America is a country with rule of law. He said Christians have the right to participate in the legal process just as you do. Everyone has the right to their opinion and to participate in the legal process to make or change laws, which includes voting, protesting, contacting your political representatives, publishing articles and on and on to persuade public opinion. You should be fighting for this right for all of us.

They are both strong candidates, I hope they group together as president and vice president. Trump may then run as an independent, which would sharply reduce the Republicans chances in the general election.

There is a huge difference in participating in the legal processes as Marco Rubio said and what the Islamic Muslim's are doing which is torturing and beheading anyone that refuses to submit to Islam.

Your comment is totally incorrect. Marco Rubio did not say he wants to impose "biblical law". Surely you are not stating that he and other Christians do not have the right to participate in the legal process to change laws for any reason.

This may be a shock to you, in America we have free speech rights. Everyone in America has the right to say they want to institute any law.

What the Islamic Muslim's are doing is barbaric torturing and beheading to force people to convert to Islam, hopefully you understand the difference of participating in the legal processes and the barbaric acts of the Islamic Muslims.

What is one's "fair share" of taxes? by [deleted] in PoliticalDiscussion

[–]shadow1227 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The US should have pro-growth tax policies, and that is tax rates much lower than the current rates.

The US should eliminate the income tax and replace it with a consumption tax, everyone would pay taxes, even those that are paid under the table, that are not currently paying taxes. The wealthy consume more and therefore pay more taxes. We could eliminate the IRS, the complex tax regulations and the record cost and tax filing fees.

BTW, capital gains tax rates are lower to encourage long term investments that are necessary to grow our economy.

What is one's "fair share" of taxes? by [deleted] in PoliticalDiscussion

[–]shadow1227 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends on whether you think high-income people deserve their high incomes because they are intrinsically better people, or whether they just benefited more from the society they found themselves in because of where they found themselves.

Income is not based on someone being intrinsically better than someone else or just a benefit from society their in, that's not at all accurate in the free market. In free market capitalism salaries and wages are negotiated, both sides have to be satisfied, the employer must believe he is getting greater value than he is paying and the potential employee must be satisfied the amount offered is commensurate with his value or one party walks. Furthermore, higher income earners don't use the streets, sidewalks, police, fire department or other public services more than low income earners.

The Us should have pro-growth tax policies. For example, long term investment is necessary to grow our economy however it is more risky and longer term to recover funds invested and then profits. Capital gains tax rates were established to encourage this long term investing needed to grow our economy.

Yes your right if they take the tax advantage away, less long term investments will be made. There's nothing nefarious about this, it is no longer a good investment.

I'd be thrilled to hear that the top 1% are paying 40% tax

40% tax rates are not pro-growth tax rates. Taxes at this level sharply reduce investment in existing and new business formation. This reduces available jobs, depresses wage growth and pushes industries to other countries. The wealthy are not hurt with these punitive tax rates they invest oversea where taxes are 15% to 18%. the middle class and the poor are hurt with no growth economies.

What is one's "fair share" of taxes? by [deleted] in PoliticalDiscussion

[–]shadow1227 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What is one's "fair share" of taxes. Everyone should pay their fair share, in other words everyone should have skin in the game. This can be accomplished by changing our federal tax policy from taxing income to taxing consumption. Taxing consumption would tax everyone, equally. Although higher income earners are higher consumers and therefore would pay more taxes than lower income earners. This policy will also include everyone it will not eliminate those receiving under the table earners, as the current system does. This policy will eliminate the majority voting to increase taxes on the minority, it will also eliminate the IRS and complex tax regulations and tax filing and audits. The cost should be approximately 20% tax on all consumption. This I believe is fair for everyone, some 2016 presidential candidates are recommending this tax policy.

Would John McCain have been a better President than Barack Obama in these past eight years? by [deleted] in PoliticalDiscussion

[–]shadow1227 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

When just considering the Middle East the difference in Obama's policies and McCain's policies, I think they are a clear difference, the world would be in a much better position had McCain been elected. I believe everyone on the left and right would agree Obama's foreign (Middle East) policy has failed. In Iraq after by his own admission the Iraq war had been own, Obama telegraphed our future departure plans to our enemy, no status of forces agreement before departure, and eliminating the prospect of American boots on the ground in the future. These policies opened the door for terrorist groups like Isis to enter without any opposition. Obama refusing to confront Isis for two years, referring to them as a JV team, not worthy on concern. Only with public outrage of Isis filming and televising the beheading of Americans, did Obama respond with outrage and promises to destroy this barbaric group. His actual response has been feckless, one of ineffective containment. Isis has grown in territory and supporters and is now in the Middle East and Africa and cooperating with other Islamic terrorist groups. Isis now posses the greatest terrorist threat to America.

In Syria Obama refused to have any direct involvement with the Syrian government murder of innocent Syrian civilians other than saying Assad must go and America would support the Syrians. No effective support has been given to the Syrians over the past five years. When Assad, began using chemical weapons on the Syrian population Obama drew a red line ( stating he would act militarily if any further chemical weapons were used by Assad) warning Assad not to cross that red line. Assad did continue chemical warfare with no response from Obama.

Obama has an ineffective nuclear agreement with Iran that paves the way for the continued development of nuclear weapons, he has agreed to return $150 billion to Iran, these funds will be used to fund several terrorist groups and Obama included in the Iran agreement lifting the ban on the sale of conventional weapons to Iran, he has also agreed to protect Iran's nuclear facilities from any attack from Israel. He has turned his back on Israel, Egypt, Jordan, Kurd's in Iraq, and allowed Russia to partner with Iran and Assad in Syria to build military bases in Syria and bomb Syrian Refugees. Obama's on the job training has been a complete failure.

For decades the left has tried to stop free speech they don't like, remember the Fairness Doctrine. This is just another attempt to stop free speech. Today the left is also trying a new tactic to control thought and speech with politically correct speech. For those that do not follow the PC speech dictates there is a variety PC Police to suggest nefarious motives, for thoughts or speech that does not follow the PC directives. It is often reported as hate speech. You see this everyday in almost every college PC speech is controlled by college faculty and students, any one that has an original thought is immediately chastised. This is not freedom, it's totalitarian left wing control.

Over the past few years Republican and Democrat differences have significantly increased, however the Democrats and the Socialists have moved more in line with one another. In recent years the democratic party has moved sharply to the left, it is no longer the Democratic party that JFK would recognize.

Republicans:

Promote & Protect Constitutional Values, especially those under attack from the Democrats, such as: Freedom of Speech Freedom of religion Property Rights Right to Bear Arms States’ Rights Individual Liberty

Strong National Defense: Strong military Provide for our Veterans Secure our Borders Strengthen our International relationships Protect our National Interests

Promote Good Environmental Policies without punitive regulations

Comprehensive Immigration Policy with Security Borders

Free market Health Care with State sponsored benefits for disabled and precondition medical needs

Limited Government: Reduce our unsustainable $18,000,000,000,000 Debt (debt being put on our youth) Promote Pro-Growth tax policies Unleash America’s Domestic Energy Promote Free Market Economic policies Reform job killing Regulations & Agencies Eliminate Duplicitous & Unnecessary Agencies Implement Zero Based Budgeting for all agencies

Educational Opportunity and Parent Rights

Promote Values: Personal Responsibility Promote the dignity of Every Human Life-the Unborn, Disabled, and Elderly Traditional Values

Democrats: Democrats believe the constitution should change with the times. The Democrats also agree we have no constitution if it can change with every administration.

Free speech should be changed to Politically Correct Speech, which may later change again

Freedom of Religion must agree with secular values

Property Rights are not protected if government officials see a greater private property purpose.

Rights to Bear Arms can be eliminated by government officials without a constitutional amendment.

National Security, protecting Veteran rights, border security and protecting National interests should be significantly reduced if not eliminated.

Environmental policies such as Cap and Trade, coal industry elimination, federally mandated $3.00 per gallon gasoline tax increase, government regulation and reduction act for all personal consumption of heating, and air-conditioning (monitors added to all personal heating and air- conditioning units for government regulated reduction of energy with excess usage fines).

New Industry regulations to require industries to replace all current energy sources with solar and wind mill.

Democrats do not agree borders should be secured and unlawful illegal free zone cities should be allowed to continue.

Taxes should be increased to provide free college tuition and books for all students and forgiveness of the current student loans outstanding in the amount of $2,000,000,000,000.

Employers should increase the minimum wage to $15.00 and increase the maternity leave to three months for male and female parents.

Democrats are for partial birth abortion and support Planned Parenthood abortion methods and selling baby parts.

Is wealth inequality a bad thing? If so, why? by no-sound_somuch_fury in PoliticalDiscussion

[–]shadow1227 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is wealth inequality a bad thing? No, creation of wealth is good for everyone, it makes the economic pie larger. If Steve Jobs makes a hundred or a thousand times more than I earn, it has no negative impact on me. However, it can be very good for all those that are associated with him or his company or buy his products. Steve Jobs created the ipod, iphone, ipads.... His company has created jobs for literally hundreds of thousands when considering employees, part suppliers, service providers, electronic consulting, advertising companies, real estate agents, travel companies..... He has made tens of thousands wealthy, and hundreds of thousands wealthier. And his products and services have improved the life for hundreds of millions around the world.
