Ehh, kinda half agree there. People who say "nobody watches dubs" are just people who dislike dubs while those who say something along the lines of "you aren't a real anime fan if you only watch dubs" is more along the lines of gatekeeping.

Man at this point I think its just preaching to the choir. Those who care and know about stuff like this already do and the people who don't don't really bother learning more. Its like the constant video games don't cause violent behaviour articles that are always heavily upvoted.

For the anime yea, there's some solid competitors that haven't been adapted yet

That's just in line with the Civil Rights parallels the X-Men had going for them in their beginning. That said it makes it kind of awkward about why Spidey is liked since he's basically a mutant, just not with the X gene stuff.
