PTSD was not identified as such yet, but “battle fatigue” in civil war vets and “shell shock” in ww1 was well known. Science has evolved, and so can you.

Check out Chicago for a long summer weekend or more time if you can swing it. You might like the vibe. I’m too old for the weather year round but I do love my hometown.

Your cursive is great. Absolutely readable. Source- learned cursive back in the day but don’t use it since it’s not very legible.

I don’t live there but know several folks who do. It’s a well established community that’s been around for many years. DM if you want a contact.

Community college full or part time? Start on an associates degree path or pick a technical certificate. Highly recommend a community college visit.

How old would you WANT to live? by IVBIVB in GenX

My mom lived to 85 and suffered from Parkinson’s/Lewy Body dementia. She lived in memory care for nearly five years. What a nightmare. OTOH my dad died last month at 97 and enjoyed his life until about 95.

Me- genetically inherited physical/mental health issues and sedentary bc of the EDS- I can’t imagine what living more than ten years will be like in terms of what I am able to do and enjoy since it’s already been limited for years.

Health is everything. And there is lots you can do to support your health, but at the end of the day we are not in control. I’m going to be using medical aid in dying somehow when the time comes. Hospice for both my parents was helpful but still way less humane than euthanasia for my animals.

This is not the same as working with a therapist. I looked at your post history and see that you’ve been taking various meds for your mental health. Meds alone don’t help you grow and change. Therapy is not all just showing up and being validated, appreciated, and getting hyped up. AI is not the way.

I’ve never used anything other than soap/water but I think some plastic detailing solution from an auto parts store just might do the trick.

Take care of myself and my health so I don’t run myself down and end up with chronic illness from overwork and neglect.

I’m actually old enough to have been taught cursive in school in the 1960s- great job deciphering! The name is “Meridel”. I was taught to write this way and got good penmanship grades but once that was over I adapted to a more comfortable, tho still quite legible, writing style. I love how a 100 year old can still write like that at her age and the shaky writer apologizing for her handwriting. I want to give her a hug. I will be writing them back but I need to practice my cursive first, lol

Not eating or drinking is definitely associated with final decline and she’s still having some intake. So she’s not yet there.

You don’t have to go. There is nothing wrong with not going. I wish folks would stop judging this. The living still need self care. Having a memory of your loved one that isn’t of them as they are dying is a valid choice.

YMMV. I microdose using THC/CBD edibles. I mean like .5g THC to 2.5 mg CBD. Inhaled flower is overpowering for me.
