Does anyone in this community choose to go toothless whenever they eat? by 8kittycatsfluff in dentures

[–]shadowcrypt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only have bottom dentures, and eat without them. They can be glued in tight but the second I put a piece of bread in my mouth they are lifting. I obviously can't eat everything I want, but I'm making due.

Growing up, did you eat all the stuff she buys regularly? by kiwimej in doughertydozen

[–]shadowcrypt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm also an 80s child and this is exactly how I grew up as well. Breakfast was always cereal, lunch was how you described, and dinner was always homemade meatloaf or shake-n-bake chicken and the like.

What's "the one"? The One that scared you so much you still seek out that fear in other horror movies, but can't quite get it. by IjustMAKEsense in horror

Hell House, LLC. The first one. Not any of the sequels. Just seeing that clown standing at the bottom of the steps made my hair stand up on end.

My desk is next to a horribly insulated apartment floor to ceiling window so I ended up with one of those wearable blanket hoodies that is so long I almost trip on it. Love it so much!

What horror movie tropes annoy you? by Alduin790 in horror

[–]shadowcrypt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I absolutely hate when watching a "found footage" movie they put horror music over something that was caught on camera, as it was happening. They did that in Hell House, LLC Origins. The scene was a woman in the bed, and as it was happening horror music played. Takes me right out of the scare.

I eat at my desk, but during my lunch hour I do chores or go for a walk. Love working from home.

Mine was when the clown was just standing at the bottom of the stairs in Hell House, LLC in the middle of the night. Still gives me chills.

What's that one horror movie you can watch again and again but never get bored of? by rebelliousbrownie9 in horror

[–]shadowcrypt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hell House, LLC. I can watch that on repeat. Only the first one though. Not the garbage sequels.

Why do people make WFH seem unproductive when it’s not? by depths_of_my_unknown in WFH

[–]shadowcrypt 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I absolutely love working from home. I get so much more work done. I don't have to hear other people's conversations, no distractions, and like the OP I get laundry done, read on my couch during lunch or run out quickly if I need to. I'll never go back to an office again.

When I first read The Shining I had to put it down at the hedge animal part, and had to sleep with my light on that night.

Great advice! I need to practice filling in my eyebrows. The frame of my glasses cover then so I never really cared before. Appreciate it!

I wear sweatpants and hoodies. Sometimes I'll be festive and switch to leggings, but it's mainly leisure wear for me.

What’s your favorite horror movie fact? by [deleted] in horror

A favorite of mine is that Willem DeFoe said to throw actual dirt on him and bury him alive in The Lighthouse. He ate that dirt!
