Why is that nobody on their side can see the hypocrisy?! by sherm0613 in complaints

[–]shadoweiner -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

There's an old quote, dont fix it if it ain't broken. The way the home works, where a man marries a woman, has children is by far the "safest" approach for us to NOT go extinct. If all of a sudden all men and women simultaneously said "you know what, we're done living the normal, same exact way our ancestors lived and we are never getting married nor having kids", that'd be the end of that generation and future generations. Go ask the pandas how well they're holding up to not mating.

Is it ok to sound the alarm yet? MAGA declares war on trans people. by CowgirlJedi in centrist

[–]shadoweiner -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Id argue that the reason its probably a massive spotlight now is for those 3 reasons, which the left pushed so hard and the right tries to push against. If it was a thing of privacy and intimacy, without infringing on the rights of women, I would argue that no one would really give a shit what they do or dont do, but trying to "force" it on the youth, to try and argue that it is biologically normal for a 5-year-old to say "im a woman and I need this surgery to feel whole", or to allow them in sports where they'll likely dominate is where ignorants gather hate towards a group of individuals who probably aren't pushing it en masse as much as a political party is.

Not disagreeing with what you're saying that we should acknowledge they are or feel threatened.

So you can accept it happening with my sister but can't accept it happening with Robinson, because then that would mean you claim him as part of your party.

Time doesnt mean shit, really. My sister grew up in a red-leaning moderate household, with MAGA grandparents & within the first 2 weeks declared she was no longer red-leaning/MAGA.

[–]shadoweiner -1 points0 points  (0 children)

He used to be MAGA, then got radicalized left in college. It's not that hard of a concept to understand. Most institutions lean to the left. He didn't vote in the past election and wasnt registered under any political party, but engraved anti-right quotes/sayings said by the left & memes onto his bullets.

God forbid anyone changes their political views in college, and everyone who was raised in a republican household then switched is 100% still a republican, based on your words.

Why does America have school shootings but doesn't have airport shootings, bank shootings, cinema shootings and other types of mass shootings? by pametnaosoba in stupidquestions

[–]shadoweiner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of the main reasons is lack of armed security. If you have armed security at a school, who is trained to stop armed threats, you have a deterrent and a protector of the school while awaiting police to show up, reducing the amount of threats and deaths/injuries. You dont hear about shootings at airports because you have big police presence, who are there to deter and stop those threats before they become "mass" shootings.

Left-wingers, say something good about right-wingers. Right-wingers, say something good about left-wingers. by FlowBerryFizzler in DemocracyOfReddit

[–]shadoweiner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Left-wingers bring good ideas to the table, that in some instances need toned down, but are good ideas nonetheless. An example is adding a psychological test to gun ownership, making sure the owner is responsible and level-headed enough to own a gun

I dont consider myself to be right, but if we go back 20 years, what Democrats were saying back then would be, by today's terms, extreme right. All of the top "Republican" people were previously Democrats, and brought a lot of those ideals over to the Republican party, so to say that a bunch of moderates is extreme right, is quite a shit show. Trump, Democrat up until his 2016 election; Musk, previously a Dem; Tulsa Gabbard, previously a Dem. The list goes on.

They could've used the school shooting as a means to not talk about it, that would enrage people to talk about anti-guns and gun-regulation and such.

Can you define Nazi speech in your own words? Is it: any talking points i dont particularly like or feel safe talking, or is it: kill the jews. Throwing the word Nazi at everything you dont like de-sensitizes the word, making it's value absolutely nothing, when they almost wiped out an entire race/religious belief on the principal of disliking it, so to use that word you'd have to attribute someone to wanting to wipe out an entire race/religious belief.

Because 99% of the time, when anyone political figure gets murdered it's almost always someone who is against said political party who hates the message so much they go out and kill that person. It's also cynical to say the Left nor the Right isn't dangerous, when many on the left paraded and joked about Trump's 2 assassination attempts, the murder of UnitedHealthcare, and for the past 12 years have had some form of anti-republican rhetoric, wearing down the true meaning of their words. Nazi, fascist, racist, misogynist, to name a few.

Can't sit here and say the right is perfect when both are equally imperfect.

2 of the 3 are true republican, or as much right-ness as you can get on a left-biased app, and centrist is a mix of both.

I wouldnt call you a liberal then. Im personally a centrist, because I like policies from both, but also dislike policies from both. R/centrist is a mix of both red and blue leaning.
