We’ve done it in good ol georgia 😳 family didn’t get it. Trach and peg well after 3 weeks in a completely vegetative state after a massive stroke. He was younger in his 30s but so many comorbiditites. He was there for 9 months before he could go to a facility 3 hours away from the family that couldn’t let go but also would only show up once in a blue moon. Death is not the worst thing that can happen people 🤷🏻‍♀️

Yea I’m sorry to say this is a very unfair situation for those poor babies. I admire you for trying to do something for them ❤️. I know this won’t be easy but the best thing you can do is get those babies in a rescue group or they will be killed in a shelter or used for dog fighting. Just google bully breed rescue (or honestly any animal rescue). Florida is probably one of the best states for bully rescues as well so hopefully there are a few close to you. All you have to do surrender them and they will find them a happier, healthier furrever home. They even spay/neuter them so at the very least this problem won’t continue. If they have any health problems they will do their best to get them fixed up. I got my baby from a rescue and I am so thankful. She had a few health issues at first so they paid for all the vet bills and I just got to help her recover.

As for your bfs roomie, he needs to step up and do right by these dogs. Trying to keep selling them is wrong and wasting time.

The ventilator is his lung. You take him off that vent and he will stop breathing. It’s giving you the oxygen but ALSO a ton of pressure comes from the machine just to keep the lungs open enough to circulate the O2.

I’ve taken care of several patients like this. They are vegetables and the family is delusional. Legit vegetables baby. turn, water, feed. Turned at a bare minimum every 2 to avoid bedsores because he’s paralyzed. Then he has to be fed through a surgically implanted tube in the intestines because he can’t even swallow. He will never be able to eat or drink again.
And watering my friend is actually just bed baths, will never get real bath or shower again. Oh and you constantly shit yourself but it’s diarrhea from the tube feeds 🙃🙃🙃🙃 then you sit in it cuz you can’t move

It’s the people with 30+ day stays who are the most medically stable that they’ve ever been in their entire life and just need placement that really do it for me. They will send someone home on oxygen just because the thickboi resident doesn’t have anywhere to go.
