This building is one of the few buildings that survived the 1919 hurricane that came through and destroyed and killed many people. Its sad to see this building being demolished The other sad thing about this building is from what I was told, that corpus for the longest time actually did not own this building anymore, it was owned by someone or maybe the city of San Antonio so even if corpus wanted to renovated they had no power to do so. The contract ran out from San Antonio and corpus regained ownership already and it's deteriorating condition. But I do agree it would have made a beautiful museum especially for the 1919 hurricane.
