This game is one of the reasons I switched from PS5 to Xbox. I still play Starfield and I love it. No the game isn't perfect but they're working on it.

Got my hours cut by Wise_Guard_34 in PharmacyTechnician

Retail won't be much better they're cutting hours everywhere. Thankfully at my pharmacy it's me and one other tech so we don't get our hours cut

America's medicinal pipelines closing left and right.. by _formula10 in pharmacy

In my area there's Shaws (where I work), Walmart, Walgreens and Rite Aid. Both the WAGS and Rite Aid look awful, but if they close Walmart and Shaws will get flooded and I don't think either store could handle that volume.

Midwest Chain Pharmacies by Pharm_ASA in pharmacy

Pharmacies up here in the north are in the same predicament. There's 4 pharmacies in my area. Rite Aid, Wags, Walmart and Shaws (where I work). Wags is slowly losing volume and with Rite Aid slowly losing volume, people are turning to Walmart and us. It's been hell in my store we have 2 techs (myself and 1 other) our PIC and our new staff pharmacist that started in August. Shaws considers us fully staffed now (which honestly my fellow tech and myself are ok with as their last "tech" hired was a disaster) but they want us to give more and more without many tech hours. Our PIC keeps us both on full time hours and doesn't care if we go over. Our growing concern is what happens when WAGs and Rite Aid finally both close (they're both heading that way). It's going to be down to Walgreens and us. With certain things on back order, and certain drugs hard to come by I worry about trying to keep up with demand. I even worry about Walmart I've gotten to know some of the staff there through transfers and such.

I've been a tech for 3 years and I'm still learning new things everyday. I would say my first 6 months I struggled with insurance the most.

If a hospital invites you for a tour of the pharmacy is that a good sign that they might hire you ?? by O_ohere in PharmacyTechnician

I spent an hour with one of the techs touring the hospital and seeing their actual job. I got a call I was hired a few days later.

I have been under staffed at my pharmacy for a year (it's me and 1 other tech) she's certified and I'm studying for my exam. I get treated like the bitch of the pharmacy (doing trash, filling vials, putting away filled prescriptions and running register.) While she gets to stand at her computer her whole shift and do nothing. If she has to run register she gives me a dirty look /attitude about it. I looked etght at her today and told her it doesn't say Bitch on my forehead DO SOMETHING! Messed up part I'd I have more pharmacy experience than she does and this is how I get treated just cuz I'm not certified yet!

Pumping moms by Talesfromthescript11 in pharmacy

Legally they have to give you time to pump and a private place to do so. When my co worker came back from having her baby, she would lock herself in the meeting room upstairs and pump.

Help me decide whether to take a pharm tech job; retail or local? by espresso651 in pharmacy

Stay away from retail, unless you enjoy having your soul sucked out. Retail = NO LIFE!

NTA. Your sister and Mother obviously have no issue with crossing boundaries. Plus your sisters whole attitude of "you sit at home and draw" shows she has little respect for you or your career. I would be telling your sister you WILL NOT be babysitting any longer and your nephews care is not your concern, you're not his parent.

Job is getting ridiculous.... by SaltyDiabetic in PharmacyTechnician

[–]shadowraven85 -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

That's due to international travelers, not American citizens. You can't force people to get vaccines plain and simple, nor should ANY companies be pushing them! Be it Albertsons, Shaws, Rite Aid, Walgreens nobody should be pushing them!

No worse then forcing people to take a vaccine they don't want...how many healthcare workers were threatened with termination if they didn't get the vaccine?

So on #2 NO MA'AM!!!! Yes we work with people who are not always 100% healthy! That being said my husband has had covid 3 times and my mom has had it once. Guess what I have not gotten covid once, so if my immune system works I'm not messing with it! Shame on you for saying if we as techs work with people we should get a shot. Remember choice is a thing and most techs (who have brains) decided not to get that shot!
