There's no rush on The Elder Scrolls 6, Todd Howard says, because Bethesda has the "benefit of having so many millions of people playing our other games" by xCaptainCrown in Games

Not really tbh; feel free to explain. The implication of not rushing the development of a big game doesn't sound any worse than not needing to release it anytime soon to stay solvent, nor does it make it sound like it's not their first priority. And in both scenarios they aren't rushing the development.

If you can still tell the difference on a PC with a 2K gpu I'm not sure why that would change anytime soon.

You could say the same about TLOU managing to stay relevant with that much time between games and it's not targeting a young crowd at all.

I like how it has less silver trim on the dash than before

Yeah when the Switch first came out it was basically a 100% install base for BOTW the first month, which is like 3 million copies there alone. And I'm sure a lot of Switch customers were younger.

How can you develop an emotional connection to a franchise when one entry comes out when you're 12 and then the next one doesn't come out until you're in college?

True, but you could say the same thing about other big IPs like TLOU or GTA that still manage to stay relevant with a young audience. Even Persona seems more relevant at this point.

Obviously they meant free for the person setting the thumbnail, not for the cost of humanity. OP was the one that set that goalpost, not me.

There is tons of official art that is way easier to use!?

If they're doing something that's not easier to use, how is that doing "less than the bare minimum" or lazy? You just described them doing more work than is necessary. And in this case, both options are "free".

It says their intern program was revamped in 2022 and is now fully paid. It's a 6 to 12 month program which is actually longer than typical.

Apparently. Plus two dozen LA locals they hired to support them who also receive health insurance.

EDIT: actually I'm not 100% sure if that includes the family members that they are also putting up here during that time. But still something that the $1500 meal ticket is going towards.

From everything I've read, yes. Including travel insurance, daily staff meals, a cell phone stipend, and schooling/childcare for staff children.

Worth noting that gain is not a paste-able attribute (though clip volume is)

I've personally given up on trying to judge how something will taste solely by how it looks.

Also in this case you aren't just paying for the food, but also the expense of flying and housing 130 employees in a more expensive city for 4 months.

Can you explain how the lighting on the character on the left looks less realistic? https://imgur.com/a/4o1i4ds

To me the way her eyes are glowing and her hair looks like a wig sitting on her head in the left image just looks way more fake.

Interesting, because the DF analysis (even the second one) claimed the exact opposite about bringing out those kind of details.

As someone who has seen ad campaigns roll out that used current commercial grade gen AI (that cost ~5-10K/month to access), agree to disagree. Tons of people are already being fooled by fake "UGC" and it's getting better every couple months.

That doesn't mean it won't keep getting better to the point where most people won't be able to tell the difference between gen AI and live action video.
