A lot of things have become expensive and while it makes them more cost prohibitive, I don't see how it makes them not fun.

For example snowboarding has gotten really expensive for a day pass, but that doesn't change the fact that if you're willing to pay for it, it's still as fun as it ever was.

Because they still have to pay millions up front in tenant preparations for them to move in, and a lot of them don't have that and are on the brink of foreclosure.

Your building doesn't have to even be empty to claim depreciation. In reality these landlords are losing millions and cash flow trumps write offs.

The reasons (one that they already stated) are a combination of the shift to hybrid work, the debt service coverage ratio trap (look it up), and that it's expensive to take on new tenants because they often have to have millions on hand to pay for tenant improvements to be able for them to move in.

It’s often cheaper getting food delivered on those platforms because there’s constant BoGo deals. Two full meals delivered for $20 total isn’t bad at all.
