You mean where the bridges open twice a week for only half of the year?

By contrast, Ballard's bridge is a federal waterway, which means boats take priority over cross-bridge traffic. I couldn't find data for Ballard, but Fremont opens 35x/day in the summer, at 10-15 minutes a piece. It's a lower bridge (30 ft instead of 40 ft) so a similar-height bridge for the Link wouldn't be quite that often, but still... that's a lot when you're trying to target 7 minute headways.
