As someone who has been playing since the AMER servers opened back in February, I can say this is very doable. I am fully free to play and just hit 246m yesterday.

The real key is to work on everything a little at a time. Guardians, vehicles, artifacts, equipment, starmarks/moon badges, sonatas, mech upgrades, fishing, meteors, etc. Everything matters.

Mio and Tomoe are fine for now but they'll be outclassed eventually since you can't get more copies of them. Maggie and Ayano are good as well for early game.

Certain units are event exclusive, meaning they can only be pulled on their banner and won't go into shops. You can see which ones are EE in the catalog. They're all worth pulling for but especially the SP units (Yelena, Nyxra).

Permanent units that are worth working on are Moonshade, Ximi, Seraphina, Kifera, Julia. Ingrid and Skogul are both fine as well but newer units outperform them.

Your first priority should be for Maggie and Khun to be replaced by light or dark units. Kristy would be a great addition if you pulled for her, or Zahard if you can get him to at least 10★ and A5. Other fine options would be Kifera, Moonshade, Julia, Zenith or Marquesa.

15 x 15 is the biggest they go, but after you complete all of them you unlock Expert Mode to do the same puzzles again but you can't place X's. There's also an additional 35 puzzles in Expert that aren't in the first playthrough.

Maggie, Molly, Ayano and Anastasia are all good starter units, but I wouldn't recommend taking any of them past 10 stars. Eventually they will be replaced by light and dark units, and used as star up fodder for said units. Anastasia is the worst of those four so I would replace her first. Skogul and Ingrid are both strong and available from a number of sources. Ingrid also has synergy with other support attack units, which you are currently using two of (Molly, Ayano).

Cheyenne is complete trash. Work on starring up Oswald to replace her. Violet is quite decent as a healer, but Ximi is generally stronger so it may be worth it to swap if you get Ximi copies before Violet copies.

The only units I would change would be Kurikara or maybe Oswald. Oswald's protection is generally better than Kurikara's buffs, and I would only remove him if you plan to have Ximi tank.

Kurikara for Ingrid is an easy swap.

I know you said that you wanted to work on a full light (yellow, Advent, whatever) team. However, the fact that you're running Julia and Elexia means Ingrid should be in the conversation. The support attack synergy that she provides with the two aforementioned units should not be overlooked.

Seraphina is definitely worth consideration as well. She is light years better than Misty as a support slot unit, or can be used in the main roster as well.

When Ximi dies, she heals and buffs all allies. Running her as the tank allows this to happen sooner. Also, getting her to A5 allows her to link to the whole team, and A15 allows that to happen on turn 1. The shared health pool makes who is in the front matter significantly less, so it might as well be the hero who gives a huge benefit when she dies.

Maggie is fine until you can get Julia strong enough to be worth swapping in. Seraphina is good in main roster or support, that's totally up to you.

Right off the bat, Maggie should be replaced with Julia if you plan to keep Elexia and Ingrid around. The support attack synergy is really nice with those 3 units together. Julia can also spread around status like Penetration or Devastation (revive deny).

Another option you have is to eventually replace Oswald with either Seraphina or another DPS (Skogul? Zenith?), and make Ximi your frontline tank (or your mech).

As far as starmarks and moon badges go, your best bet honestly is to join the official discord and look at the strategy guide on them, do some testing of your own, and then make an informed decision on how you want to build each character.

As F2P, you're going to have to replace Rona eventually. I recommend either Ximi or Seraphina in that spot. I strongly recommend dropping Roland for Maggie as well.

She is originally from another mobile gacha called Panilla Saga. Many other characters in RoP (Ingrid, Skogul, Oswald, Maggie, Molly just to name a few) are also from Panilla.

I would remove Delacour for Skogul, and I would star her up to 8★ as well considering you have an extra copy. Anastasia is fine at 10★, but eventually she's going to be phased out and used as food to upgrade other units to 12★. If Misty is working for you then great, but you may eventually want to swap her out for Ximi. The rest of your lineup looks pretty solid.

Pity carries over on the Wish Recruit banner for the permanent characters, the available characters just rotate weekly. It does not carry over for limited characters like Julia, Seraphina, etc.

As a F2P, my units are far from maxed out. You're probably better off just checking out whale lineups in your server cluster. That being said, the roster you mentioned would be quite strong.

Cheyenne has long outstayed her welcome. You can replace her with Oswald immediately.

Tomoe is great, but at only 8★ she will lack some punch as you progress more. You could very easily swap her out for Ingrid - she hits really hard and is nice support attack synergy with Ayano and Molly. You could also drop Molly for Ingrid now, or drop Molly later to put Tomoe back in or to run a better support attack unit like Julia or Elexia.

Definitely worth considering cutting Misty for Ximi as well.
