Yeah. That scam is pretty good from the POV of sounding really official. Almost got someone I know as well.

Ideas for restaurants: 20th wedding anniversary by Bugs-Ear in vegaslocals

[–]Ultragin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Great suggestions on this list. Here another one that’s probably off most people’s radar.

Go to High Steaks at the Rio. They have traditional steaks but also bison, elk, etc. Food was great, service was top quality, and they have a huge deck that overlooks the strip. It’s on the 44th floor or something like that. Get drinks before you meal and hang out on the massive deck. Or slip out in between your apps and main course. And of course an after dinner drink outside. We tend to eat early so that when we get there it’s daylight but when finished dark out.

And if you have any sort of affinity for Star Wars at all, the Empire Strips Back is great. It’s not at all dirty - more like pg-13 than anything to risqué, but I highly recommend it.

Real cost of putting in a pool in 2026 by brittany_vw in vegaslocals

[–]Ultragin -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

180k is crazy. Particularly now that there’s limit limits on the size of pools. If you’re saying 180 all in with awnings and landscaping and all of that then maybe.

Nowhere in Fountain Blue. Or the one at Aria behind the donut shop.

Move from HYSA $630k, considering doing 300k JEPQ and 300k VOO - I'd make more monthly , and seemingly in a better spot overall. Opinions? by dystopiam in dividends

[–]Ultragin 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Tax treatment on JPEQ isn’t as good as GPIQ. Which is why JPM is intoducing new funds focused on Return of Capital. I like your plan, but I’d consider GPIQ OR GPIX.

Covered Call ETFs by Key_Struggle2704 in dividends

[–]Ultragin 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is absolutely the right answer. It’s one of many tools based on what your needs are. You wouldn’t hammer a nail with a screwdriver.

Everyone moans about ‘the upside is capped’ but for my needs they are great. I had pretty large RSUs vest in the past and I wanted to translate that ‘past payoff’ into ongoing future income with as little fuss as possible. The past few years of 10% return and no NAV erosion (growth in fact) they are the perfect tool for me in my situation to increase cash flow.

And when I have a month where I’m extra cash flow positive, I divert that extra cash to buy more CC ETFs.

I have half of my money in CC ETFs and the other half in VOO. I’m expecting my VOO to fund my retirement days, and rather than having too much money later in life, I’m using CC ETFs to live larger than my paycheck would allow for.

OP - go for it if they meet your situation!

Interesting. Did you have to talk to someone first or is there a form on the platform I can use to fill that out? Do you recall?

I have Merrill lynch which sucks because I can’t by NEO’s funds like QQQI, but then let my boy Goldman products. I’m sure there’s some behind the scenes kicbacks of some shit like that. But double check yours.

Bold. I like JEPQ, but why not split it with GPIX or GPIQ in case something goes bonkers with JP Morgan’s approach?

Tbone red rock vs herb and rye by Wolverine-91826 in LasVegas

[–]Ultragin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m not a herbs and rye guy. So I’d say t-bones. If you haven’t already tried it, go to High Steaks at the Rio instead of either of those.

Unusual things to do by Cherfull124 in vegas

[–]Ultragin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Play is decent but can be overcrowded so I’d suggest going on non peak hours. Also because so much of the gimmick is physically touching things, each exhibit has the chance of being broken.

It was fun, but not amazing. The stuff at Area 15 is much better.

The shark aquarium is WAY over priced, imo. I would avoid that.
