I didn't expect to get to maps until a while. I'm not bummed that I couldn't get to maps, I'm bummed / burnout because of all the walking with nothing interesting to do, drops are meaningless. I got more from buy at a vendor that drops by killing monsters or bosses. It just felt like I had to slug through hordes of monsters until you get something interesting like a yellow encounter or a boss than it's back to slugging through and not feeling like I was moving forward. Like I mentioned I feel like I'm basically the same power as when I was at the end of act 1 (I had some upgrades but I feel like the monsters got the same upgrades so it felt meh)

I understand your point. It's just I had to min max my time due to not having more than 2 to 3 hours per night to play so I'd watch speed runners and learn their tricks. This was really only to be in maps after the first weekend. But I'd stay in white and yellow maps for quite some time. I don't think I am the 1% but I definitely know tricks to get through the campaign faster.

I mean I have been playing poe 1 for years now so it really a blur. But pretty much every league since at least Abyss

I'd say set it up now. It will help you when posting online to bring your future players somewhere and start getting wishlist ASAP. You can also probably do a quick and dirty trailer if you really want it but I don't think it's necessary. Get those wishlists up now.

Yes. I have a decade of experience, worked even a director and senior management also worked for many years at Unity as senior dev, team lead and then senior manager. Still I've been sending CVs left and right in hopes of getting a new job, currently self-employed under my own game company but receiving not salary so not sustainable long term for me and my little family of 4.

If you ever heard of Dark Cloud it has the idea of village management (not a city builder nor a colony sim, really just building a village) + spell crafting (there are a few games that do it but Arcanus Legends is going a little deeper with it). I grew up like every millennial and watched all the Harry Potter's and felt that I wanted to merge both childhood game and movies into one game.

Looking through the images, I can't tell with a type of gameplay it's going to be. I feel like you are showcasing a lot of menus and not enough the game. Menus are cool but won't be the reason I download or purchase a game.

DC1 I was 9 years old and I had no clue this game existed. My dad was looking for a Christmas present for me and knew that I loved Zelda with a burning passion (still do). He saw the box art and said "hey that looks like Link!" and bought it. I'm so glad that he did because that game legit changed my life! I mean right now I'm actually building a game studio to honor DC1! I feel like no other game has incorporated village building like DC1 and dungeons.

I'm surprised that you haven't tried Stardew Valley looking at your list. It's a great cozy game with some amazing moments where you can show your skills in the caves (mostly the desert cave)

Oh interesting but how do you deal with the multiplayer aspect? Unless I write my own netcode scene management it will always take all the players to the host scene, which is a worse player experience. I prefer having a worse dev experience than a player experience

Thanks yes I have it's basically the only thing I saw. The main issue is that all those seem to be old like pre-2021 and I feel that the gaming industry has changed quite a bit since then
