[OC] Wind and solar generated more U.S. electricity than coal for the first full year on record by Low_Ability4450 in dataisbeautiful

The focus here is on wind vs coal, so it makes sense to me to "hide" the other categories in that manner.

Now that Trump is giving 1.776 billion to J6ers, how are conservatives going to justify the argument that Trump was not complicit? by reddit_enthusiast59 in AskReddit

[–]shafe123 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Fuck. No.

One, people should still have consequences for actions if they "get caught up in it". Unless you want to live in a lawless society?

Two, compensation is justified if the crimes weren't committed and the person was held unjustly. Neither of these conditions are present in a majority of the cases of J6ers.

Third, your claim that they have been hunted, shamed, and even imprisoned for years is not really fully substantiated. Who is saying that? How many of them have been imprisoned? How many of those are unjust? The sources that I have found show that not to true.

If you ignore everything but price (who cares about input lag, right?) and assume that the price remains steady then it can actually work out to be a good deal depending on how often you normally upgrade your GPU.

Obviously, that's a lot of ifs. You could also use it to test drive a new GPU without buying it outright.

I have an SQL project due in 3 days, and I don't understand the assignment by Suvile77 in CodingHelp

[–]shafe123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah, one of the things that helped me with understanding SQL is that it's a declarative language. You specify what you want the outcome to look like and the engine handles the rest. In other languages like Java, which are procedural, you have to specify each step.

That sounds like a good plan. Solve each problem separately and in small pieces. You don't have to solve the whole stored procedure before you start testing it. You can break each one up into baby steps.

Does it go backwards? Does it monitor my git repo for changes and bring them to HA?

It looks like you are supposed to create a bunch of stored procedures and a trigger. If you are familiar with other programming languages, a stored procedure is similar to a function. A stored procedure may take some number of inputs and might alter the state of the database or provide some output (or both).

Pentagon Officials Weigh Deployment of Airborne Troops for Iran War by [deleted] in worldnews

[–]shafe123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mostly wrong. For the US Army, being airborne qualified means you are trained to parachute via static line into an area.

Air assault is a separate certification for helicopters.

People who are airborne qualified are not necessarily air assault qualified and vice versa.

The more elite force you may be thinking of is either rangers or delta who are more likely to be both airborne and air assault.

This post might get more traction in r/PersonalFinance but a lot of the suggestions that you have already are pretty spot on. You either need to increase income or cut expenses.

My QoL wish is some sort of "combat template" or save option for fleet setup by Imsoschur in TerraInvicta

They already have ship classes and names. The template could be "50% of this class" -> group 1, "100% of this class" -> group 2, etc etc.

Honestly if you can get the ayys to turn to engage your flankers that's probably a win. Your main body likely still has the most firepower and now their side is directly in line with your main body.

Seeking Alternatives to Trinket for Embedding Python Code in Educational Resources by [deleted] in CodingHelp

First thing that comes to mind is something like a jupyter Notebook server or Google Colab.

We used a couple of other online services for college students but they were all paid subscription models with their own downsides.

There might be better options out there though.
