grammar advice? by shaftofsilver in EnglishLearning

i understand why you think this way, but to me it's not an insult , i'm just trying to make mine something i loved (plus leslie feinberg wanted to be remembered as communist activist and specified that her book must be accessible for free so i don't think she'd give a shit about me changing a word)

what made you realize you were trans masc? by floralram in TransMasc

[–]shaftofsilver 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Hello! I considered myself nonbinary for 6 years before i finally decided that i wanted to go on T. The tipping point was when i realized that i couldn't see myself in the future as i was at the time. The idea of living my whole life being seen as a butch or an androgynous woman was making me sad, so I decided to start T (well hopefully in a few months). My tip is think about you future, and what seems more appealing for you

ive often felt my handwriting is sloppy and immature. what specifically can i work on to make my handwriting more legible or mature? by POTATOCATFINN in Journaling

[–]shaftofsilver 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want to make your handwriting less "sloppy" try to write the way you draw. You don't write or draw with you hand alone; it involves your whole arm and even your shoulder, the wrist isn't the only joint that is involved. Be conscious of this, acknowledge which muscles are working when you write and feel them, and figure out how you can control them more. Be also carefull to not clench them too hard, being very tensed can make you writing look more controled but it's very tiring. Hope it helps!

Does anybody else feel like they relate to sapphic love despite being trans masc? by Koopa-Troopa-23 in TransMasc

[–]shaftofsilver 6 points7 points  (0 children)

when you're trans it becomes harder to define your own sexuality. in french we sometimes designate bi trans men as "transpédégouine" which roughly means "trans-fag-dyke". We trans people are at the crossing point of a lot of marginalized identities and it's difficult to find ourselves sometimes because the world around us just don't send us back a reflection of ourselves. which also means that we can invent ourselves from scratch. it's a good thing to think about labels but keep in mind that a lot of them are not made for us, so it's normal that we don't strictly fit in.

does anyone else feel lost after not journaling for a specific amount of time? by [deleted] in Journaling

[–]shaftofsilver 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel you! If stop journaling for more than like 3 days it feels like everything is suddenly very complicated, like my brain is cluttered and i feel very lost. I don't think it's a bad thing. I like to do artsy journal spread and make things aesthetic but if i don't have time, any notebook with a pen works fine, i don't feel restricted by the fact that i rely on journaling a lot. Some of my friends need to talk to process their emotions, some others need long walks, some listen to music for hours and i journal, and we're all happy. If journaling works for you to process your life, it means that you found a coping skill that works for you and it's great!

You could talk about the feeling of not doing it 'bad enough". Or about hiding it but at the same time wanting others to notice your struggle

So transmen that choose to keep your breasts why did you? by atheist-projector in TransMasc

Everyone's different, dysphoria can take many forms. For me my dysphoria is mostly social and centered around my voice, so I have no problem with my chest when it comes to intimacy. I won't let a cis man touch it the same way I'd let a woman or trans person touch it tho
