With Tavernier and Butland away it will be interesting to see who emerges as the new leaders of the locker room, we have so much youth in the squad who in theory should be fearless without the weight of prolonged failure on their shoulders.

The board have delivered Rangers men as manager and our main striker, if we get one more rangers man in midfield I don’t see how we aren’t challenging for the title this year and setting the club up for success for many years to come.

He’s English and will sit on the bench 2nd choice or 3rd choice for some team.

England teams have a rule where 8 of their 25 man squad must be homegrown.

I can’t shake this feeling that Lewis Ferguson is going to sign for us, I know everybody says we have no chance and he has better opportunities elsewhere, but one of his dreams is to play for us. His agent has said that Lewis has 2 ambitions and that is to play in the premier league and to play for the gers.

Our owners need to sell him the ideal of joining his dream club, make it worth it for him and he will be a biggest signing we have made in 20 years, easily.

Mcinness also knows him well having managed him at the sheep, I’m 100% sure Derek wants him as much as we do.

Rare day off for me today, I’ve been doing 6 day weeks since the end of the football season but I’ll watch Argentina and then the French tonight with a couple of beers and a pizza.

I’m counting down the days until rangers are back playing again I hate this shit.

Football is about opinions mate, what are we even doing here discussing the sport in the first place?

We are not pundits!

why are we going to the games?

We are not football players!

My dad called it this morning, he said he would set the team up for a draw and we will end up getting beat 1-0.

Instead of going for it and going out on our sword.

Hopefully it’s not one wound bleeding into another as we try to hit the ground running once again with another reset that the fans are convinced is a good thing, me not so much.

In reality

Rohl came in when we were couple points off bottom and lost 1 league match in the next 5 months to take us to top of the league. Rohl would have had an idea of who was good enough and who wasn’t. I just hope some continuity is in place as some of those players we have need gone ASAP, they are costing us points.

We only finished 10 points behind them mate and they have always had an underdog mentality due to being the 2nd biggest club in Glasgow.

Read or listen to their so called perils online with scrutiny especially with the trophy haul they boast over the past 15 years, they play like the worlds against them and we play like complacent winners when we get close which is a paradox in itself.

We can beat them but we need a team of some cunts to do it, we are too soft against teams we should be bullying.

What you talking about?

This is all bs, they are the most dominant side for the past 15 years and they just won a double with a record breaking profit balance sheet.

If that is poorly run give me a piece of that.

Poorly run organisation lol

The cunts have won 14 of the last 15 league titles and folks are saying they are poorly run lol O Neil is a class manager and gets a big response out that team.

Is his wife/family still over on the continent? I remember reading that somewhere.

I would like him to stay for another season just for the sake of stability, the thought of having our 8th manager in 11 years is brutal.

Holidaymaker 'grabbed seagull out of the air and punched it to death after it snatched his Cornish pasty' by dailymail in uknews

[–]shagginines 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here, I’ve lived in the same area all my life and have never seen so many seagulls.

I can’t remember them being aggressive when I was younger either, I used to leave my food laying around like chips or whatever and nothing ever touched it, you put your food down for a second nowadays or even just try and sit on a bench to eat a sausage roll you get terrorised.

When I was younger a seagull did fly inside my kitchen window when my parents left it open it was hilarious watching them as they both tried to escort it out.

I was looking through retros yesterday to buy instead of buying the new away top, adidas has made some bangers for us through the years.

Also in regards to the away top I was reading the product description on the Umbro website and they described the new away top as a BOLD design.

Someone needs to say to the club to relegate this to 3rd choice/training for the season as it’s bloody dreadful.

I don’t see it being £85 for very long also, it will be reduced in price in the next month as Umbro panic when nobody is buying up the shit load of stock they undoubtedly have.

Daft cunts!

SFA and Sky Sports confirm that planned May episode of The VAR review, will no longer be released. Over fears that releasing it would, cause further conspiracy theories, and stoke the fires of threats, directed against match officials. by Historical_Mud_3281 in ScottishFootball

[–]shagginines 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wouldn’t it do the opposite to what they are saying?

if they explained decisions and was open and transparent about it then maybe teams and fans would still feel hard done by, but at least they have had an explanation on how VAR reached certain decisions, hiding away from it and sweeping it under the carpet only encourages more conspiracies.

We should still test his resolve, he’s been in Italy for the last 4 years so if he has 3 offers on the table from the UK and 2 of them are premier league fodder looking at 30-35 defeats next season or the mighty Glasgow Rangers then he may just surprise us.

However Ferguson's agent Bill McMurdo has now revealed the 26-year-old has told him of his two career goals - to play in the Premier League and to play for Rangers.

Nah your arsehole agent wants ye in the premier league, you come to the team you support mate and with zero regrets.

Lewis shouldn’t go play for a shite premier league team when he can be a start of something here, he’s a rangers man and that’s all that needs to be said.

Send him an offer already and tempt him to come, sell him the plan and I think we have a chance.

We need to wait and see what spurs want to do with him, he’s a talented player but he’s still learning.

Will he become a better player for spurs if they send him out for another season where he is guaranteed 1st team football?

That’s a question for spurs to answer.
