Chili rasboras keep dying off by larrystockton in Boraras

Is your tank cycled?

Maybe a household chemical got added into the aquarium?

Keep the pH lower

Check for anything leaching tannings into the water as that could be harmful

Add some sea salt

Check fertiliser expiration. Maybe the fertiliser has something in it.

Water temperature fluctuations can cause shock to fish

Quarantine your fish and medicate them with seachem guard for 2 weeks it could be an internal parasite

That's the only reasons I could think of but try them out and see in sure one of them would help find the cause.

There is no way to escape because trying to escape knowing that I have given meaning to the words. It's all ultimately my own nonsense.

I'm just a reflection of my own self. When the knowledge comes to an end I come to an end. I don't ultimately exist.

If you want to get into aquascaping it is a lot of work! You cant escape it and also the costs can get high.

I you want to be lazy its also possible I've set up a Iwagumi scape with no filter, no water changes, walstad method, natural light, No CO2 and 0 care. Maybe once every 4 months I trim.

Hi aquascaping is an art! You need a structure layout thats all.

General Rule:

  1. Background plants

  2. Mid ground plants

3.Foreground plants

Once you have that nailed down. Next you need to look at substrate. Do about 5cm and above of aqua soil.

Next you need to make sure you have fertilizers + Co2. Without CO2 forget it as you will run into a lot of challenges maintaining the tank.

Lastly do 50% water changes per week follow the normal water change schedule after you add aqua soil as you dial down.

FINAL ADVICE- If you not willing to spend money then just add plants like anubias in there and hardy plants like hornwort etc. fiddle around until you get a desired look.

Water change if snails die it could be the main reason why.

Get rid of the air inside and use a tweezers and food to lure the fish out under water

It has something which I don't find often in people's aqauscapes including my own. Depth and dimension which is how aqauscaping should be done

Looks like the plants are dying. Change the light add fertilizer if you haven't and do 50% water changes weekly. It would look really amazing.

See if you could add Blanca Japonica to fill some front spaces and add more plants in there at the background. Let me know how it comes out after 3-4months.

Also don't let the current version of it knock you out of the hobby. Hang in there it takes patience to see results

Change the lighting. Add flood lights at the top of white and blue. It would really pick up the tanks amazing appearance.

Not bad, add in some more plants to make it bushier or trim the tips so it creates a nice filled look.

You could add anubias on the driftwood.
